Yes, Kuwait now has it's first five women MP'S. This country is traditionally a patriarchal society. Men have dominated the political arena, with the hardcore Islamist doctrine of Wahabism for decades. 

Women voted some months ago, but was un-successful. Now within one year, they have managed to get into parliament, and represent women's issues for the first time in that country's history.

South Korea Tells Bloggers To Be Honest-Or Else!

The political administration of South Korea, is now telling it's people not to spread lies, or tell un-truths in the Blogs.

And to register with photo identities for identity purposes, because anonymity will not be tolerated.

All of these rules are deliberately enforced by the government, on all internally accessed online users, to Police or Curtail Free Speech online.

So what most young South Korean Bloggers are doing, is accessing the foreign web sites to tell their stories, without the scrutiny and official regulations that are being imposed upon them.  

Babies Don't Join Gangs!

Babies don't join gangs, do drugs, or get imprisoned.

So STOP calling them Babies when they get killed or locked up!

Where was the Self-righteous Catholics when Hiroshima & Nagasaki was Atom bombed?

A Drug Mule is someone (male or female), who hides or carries within their body, cocaine or some other substance for money.

A Baby Mule is a female who uses her body to facilitate pregnany for a baby for money.

They both see this as a way to earn money!

Suspect Morrocan Terrorist Prisoner Freed After Seven Years!


President Obama would be keeping the Militaryu Tribunlas, after some overhauling is done.  

And the Morrocan was relaeased and sent home to France today, may discover that he is still not free to roam, get employment, (because no employer will want him with that terrorist accusation on his record), 

* The French National Security authorities will continmue to keep him under surveilance for a very long time too.

* And he may never be able to face his wife (if there is one at home), and a past lover he may have had, and is now some else's.

* If there is another terrorist attack in France, this man will be picked up immediately as the primary or first suspect by the French Police. Regardless of how clean he kept himself from any shady dealings!

What has FREEDOM brought to me now?

Burma's Aung San Su Chi's American boy friend's visit has caused her imprisonment. 

Was this truly an intruder? And why had she not called the authorities, when she knows fully well, that she is due her FREEDOM, in just a few more months?

Democrat House Speaker Nancy Polosi's Misstep!

When Nancy Polosi said that the George W. Bush administration via the CIA mislead her and those who were privy to the torture methods, she was very unclear or just did not present herself understandably enough, to be believed.

For example, she said they (the Congress Reps), were told that they were enhanced methods that were being considered for the CIA's interrogative work. But she did not ask there and then, if these enhanced methods were INDEED being used. 

She also said that the impression she got at the time, was that they were not being used, but was on the table, as an option!

This is the point that has gotten her into 'Hot Water,' because she FAILED to ask whether the enhanced interrogative methods was INDEED being used, or whether they would be used also!


No Honorary Degrees For Non-Catholics Here!


A Notre Dame Catholic supporter said on MSNBC today, that the university may allow the bestowing of an Honorary Degree on president Obama, if they see fitting. Even though that contradicts the Catholic position of Pro-Life, which conflicts with his Pro-Choice position.

However, this individual went on to say further that he personally, is not against the university accepting Pro-Choice students into the fold, but would be against honoring anyone in that university, with an Honorary Degree that was not Pro-Life in belief or principle.

In other words, as I see it, this college does not flinch one bit from taking a student's tuition fees, regardless of whether he/she is Pro-life or Pro-choice. But would be biased against any student or dignitary who is Pro-Choice, from getting an Honorary Degree.

This HYPOCRITICAL position of 'Taking The Money' from any student who can afford it, but ENSURE that he or she is CATHOLIC, before giving him/her any Honorary Degree, does not speak credibly for Catholic morality!

 

Torture Is Practiced In Every Military 
Or State Security Institution
 Worldwide!

When the military in any country use torture techniques on their military or paramilitary personnel, its is hoped that introducing these methods in a Training Scenario to these men and women, will give them the experience of how or what is likely to happen to them, if captured by the enemy.

These torture techniques, even though used in a controlled environment for training purposes, is considered quite normal in all of those societies that use them. But the general public is unaware of these practices, and is never told about it.

Because it is felt that these techniques would be misunderstood, and may likely cause parents to dissuade their sons and daughters from joining the military too.

Furthermore, these practices violate the established Geneva Conventions On Warfare Behavior.

The Internet's Role In Reporting Crises Internationally!


Many newspaper organizations and media personnel have made statements to the effect that Bloggers in the main, mislead their readers, and are not a credible source of information without bias. But they fail to mention that all Writers, Journalists and OPED writers, have their own viewpoint or take, on the issues they communicate of sell to their readers or viewers. 

No one can be totally objective when reporting an incident or observation. After all, as human beings, we are all personally impacted or influenced by events directly or indirectly.

And if it wasn't for the Bloggers or Internet Communicators, we would not have gotten the pictures, events, of atrocities that were happening in Burma, China, Shri Lanka, Pakistan, Iraq, The Middle East, and elsewhere, from individuals on the ground there, where there is an absence of media journalists and reporters. 



Release The Torture Photos Says Some-But Is It A Wise Decision?


We saw the first set of photos depicting torture by US military and CIA interrogators under George W. Bush's administration.

This led to increased Jihadist recruitment in the Moslem world, and increased attacks on US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Should we allow this new set to be released under the Obama administration, because some feel that transparency is what is expected?

Are we prepared to tolerate more attacks on US troops and US civilians around the world once again?

The answer is YES or NO!



The European Governments Are Monitoring Obama's Policies Closely!


The governments on continental Europe are following closely, how the Obama administration is handling the economic crisis. 

They are even aping some of his methods in dealing with the banks there.

But now they seem to be at a loss about how to implement "A Stress Test" for their Toxic Banks there too.

This is still being debated hotly among the media and governments there.

Arbitrary Internet Penalty In France!

There is now a law in France to punish anyone who downloads music and movies online three times. If caught, they will be disconnected from accessing the Internet for three years as a penalty.

This law to my mind, is what I call and infringement upon the right to access the Internet for FREE, to download and share music or movies with friends and contacts, by using the strong arm of the law to debar these freedoms.

This Law MUST be fought aggressively online and everywhere, even without France. Because it is only a matter of time, when other governments may be tempted to take similar legal action.



Social Networking & The Elderly!

The elderly in Russia can find themselves alone, and without any social support in their advanced years. And many are living in Homes For The Elderly, supported by the state, but with no one to visit them, or any family or relatives to look forward to or see on a regular basis. Russia's population is dwindling, and the elderly is increasing along with it. 

So one Russian girl came up with the idea of having an online social networking site for the elderly.

This site would advertise the concern for the elderly, who are alone and without relatives to visit or care for them.

And ask viewers to consider adopting one elederly person for onlne or personal visititation. They can also send a mail once per month to the person they chose to sponsor. 

It is felt that these friendship and caring gestures by non-relatives or strangers, can go a long way to bring some happinesss, and the feeling that someone cares, to the Home Confined Elederly citizens.

And so far, it seems to be working too.


Lesbian Couple Refused Marriage In Russia:


So they went back to Canada to do so. Yes, in Moscow, marriage is still recognized as a union between a male and a female. So the authorities did not grant this couple that right. 

However, the two girls have started the debate on this issue in Russia, and with time, stringent advocacy, continuity, and patience, maybe Rusia will be another bastion for Gay men and women to elope legally.

Military Exercises By N.A.T.O. Forces In Georgia Angers Russia!


Currently some NATO forces are conducting a low level military exercise on Georgian Territories. This is as a result of some agreement that NATO has with Georgia to conduct, over one year ago.

Russia however, view this exercise as provocative, for the following reasons.

* Georgia was the first to aggress the territories of Hapcazia and Ossetia militarily. That conflict lasted for seven days, and ended when Russian forces came in militarily with their Peace Keeping Forces already stationed there, coupled with conscripts from the mainland of Russia, to assist Ossetia and Hapkazian peoples, many of whom are also Russian citizens.

This NATO military joint exercise in Georgia to my mind is untimely, if you take into consideration the recent conflict in that country, and the current animosity between Russia and Georgia. The canceling of the military exercise may have been prudent temporarily, until some time when the political climate becomes more stable.

There are those who feel that Russia is paranoid, and is jumping to conclusions that has no substance at all, with regard to their provocation allegations.

Meanwhile Mr. Michael Saakashvili, continues to provoke the opposition parties with accusations of treason, and plots to overthrow his dictatorial government. Even the Georgian people who came out 'en masse' during the Russian and Georgia conflict, are now supporting the opposition parties, calling for President Michael Saakashvili's resignation.

As the world watches, Georgia is slowly sliding into chaos and political uncertainty at this time!

We Don't Need Jobs-We Need Employment!

There is a BIG difference between Jobs and Employment in context. So let me explain these definitions.


What Is a Job:

A Job could be a contract of service for a specified period of time. For example, a contract to fix a broken pipeline.

* A contract to sell some items or merchandise, until that commodity is exhausted.

* A politician being elected to office for a period of time, and at the end, if he or she does not qualify for another term, the voters elect someone else for that position. The presidency is a case in point.

* A person who does temporary work:

* No healthcare benefits:

* No vacation leave with pay:

* No maternity leave with pay, or sick leave with pay:


What is Employment?

* Career possibilities, because there is room or opportunity for upward mobility:

* Promotion, on the job and training for upward mobility.

* Health benefits:

* Vacation leave with pay:

* Maternity leave with pay:

* Retirement benefits or plans:

* And permanency or longevity.

So tell your elected representatives to STOP promising us JOBS, because EMPLOYMENT is what we want and need currently!

Jacob Zuma is now the inaugurated President of South Africa. This official proceeding was attended by dignitaries such as (Nelson Mandella), a former President and Human Rights Advocate, and Leader of the ANC.

Mr. Zuma is yet to give his State Of The State address, which should outline his vision or policies going forward.

Will he be able to bring South Africa out of a declining economic crisis, and ensure a more equitable distribution of economic resources and opportunities for all South Africans.

Especially those thousands still living in Shanty Townships?

We will have to wait and see.

It is high time that this distinction be made quite clear to the Gay Communities, and the rest of the world. Because there are salient differences in life styles, sexual conduct/activities, political awareness and advocacy.

The Gay Identified Community:

When the GAY concept was generally introduced and accepted, it was based upon the following beliefs and political issues!

* Those Homosexual men and women who chose to be OPEN with their sexual preferences and sefl-identity as such.

* Those openly Homosexual men and women who decided that it was absolutely necessary for our 
communities concerns, be heard by our political representatives at the City, State, and Federal levels.

* Those Homosexual men and women who self-identify as Gay, decided also to become physical with their advocacy for Funding for people living with HIV/AIDS. 

* Gay men who need medical coverage or assistance for most or all of their health needs, that the rest of society was getting, accessing, or was entitled to.

* And it was the concern of those Homosexual men and women who were infected with the HIV virus, to ensure that their positive brothers and sisters get housing, medicare, health coverage, and medications for the treatment or prevention of the spread of HIV, especially Prevention Education, Condom Distribution, and Needle Exchange Equipment and Distribution centers.

* And finally to ensure that our concerns are heard and represented at every level of the political process or hierarchy, to ensure parity, inclusion, and the continual awareness of our concerns nationally.

All of the above issues and concerns are still being addressed by Gay and Homosexual men and women across the spectrum of our many and varied communities. 

But it would be GROSSLY unfair, or Dis-respectful for Gay men who indulge in SEX FOR Pay or PROSTITUTION, to be identified with our communities, or our concerns, for the following reasons.

* Homosexual men or women who use their bodies for sexual favors or money, does not fit the profile above established
 for GAY men.

* Homosexuals who indulge in Prostitution full time, or part time, do not fit the Gay men's profile either.

Because the men and women do so strictly for money, could not care less for the issues that impact or of concern for the larger Gay communities, because those issues are not in their commercial or financial interests.

And to use the Gay community, as a means to garner help, support, protection, or political benefits, is presumptuous, harmful, parasitical, and usurping.

FINALLY:

Gay men who have fought for the freedom to Love whomever they chose, Marry whomever the chose, Sleep with whomever they chose, Hangout with whomever they chose, will not COMPROMISE our political achievements or benefits, with PROSTITUTES and SPONGES among us, masquerading as Gay men!

Former George W. Bush Officials May Eventually Be Brought To Justice!

Some of George W. Bush's attorneys who wrote directives on how to torture prisoners and get away with it legally, are now being petitioned for a pardon. Yes, the Attorney General now has too decide whether an investigation into the conduct of those attorneys is warranted. And who were responsible for the torture memos, and who their superior's were, that gave those orders in The White House.

Will the Attorney General have the guts to follow through on this expectation of most Americans polled?

We will have to wait and see! But the president said publicly that he will not pre-judge how his Attorney General will deal with this evidence!

However, CNN's polling of Americans seem to suggest the following:

* Most Americans do not want those CIA operatives and other Intelligence personnel, who actually carried out the orders to torture prisoners litigated.

* But most Americans polled wanted the The White House Officials who gave the order in writing to carry out those torture directives, be brought to justice, regardless of who were involved.

Hate Crimes Bill ( H.R. 1913) 

By a vote 249-175, the House last week passed H.R. 1913, a bill making it easier for law enforcement authorities to prosecute hate crimes. 

Civil rights groups and liberal clergy members from all 50 states are fanning out across Capitol Hill this week to lobby for the legislation in an attempt to counter the notion, advanced by socially Clergy Lobbies for Passage of Hate Crimes Bill conservative groups, that religious leaders are uniformly opposed to the measure. 

Although a majority of Senators are almost certainly in favor of the legislation, the question is whether supporters can win the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster that conservatives may launch to kill the bill. President Barack Obama has said he will sign the measure into law if it lands on his desk.

Even our Judicial Systems are inclined to be prejudiced against People Of Color for penalties in our Courts Of Law.

 Someone With Empathy For The Supreme Court!


What Does President Obama Mean?

When the drafters of the US Constitution sat to decide the course for the new America, they did so in the light of current reality that existed at that time. With a vision for the future, and hope that whatever they eventually came up with, will provide salient guidelines for the Freedoms, Liberty, and Rule Of Law they envisaged for all Americans.

Therefore, whatever choice president Obama makes to fill the forthcoming position of the US Supreme Court, he/she would be expected to understand current reality, and how the Constitution could accommodate this new reality.

When he mentioned someone with empathy, I believe he meant some or all of what I just outlined.

 But I am merely speculating here, and I would not presume to know how the president thinks on this one.

However, I also believe that another woman would be a necessary addition to the Supreme Court, thus making for a more inclusive view or contribution to this body.

Why Are Americans So Obsessed With Michelle Obama?

First of all, she is the first Black American First Lady. She is from a working class/middle class background. 

She is highly qualified academically, from one of America's a very prestigious colleges in Law.  

She is slim, petite, a mother of two young girls, reasonably spaced between ages, and is quite self confident in her own skin mentally and psychologically.

Michelle Obama, loves her husband Barack Obama dearly, and does not hesitate to show that love and affection publicly. 

Which seems surprising to most Americans, after seeing those stereotypes shown historically in the media, that tend to show Black people as unloving towards each other, and living in single managed households.

Michelle Obama chose to compliment her husband's policies wherever she can, and has identified certain areas that she feels she can make a difference at that level, and has managed so far, to endear herself to all those who have come into personal contact with her socially and officially.

As America's First Mom or First Lady, she would be monitored by the media and the entire society the way Royalty is. 

That comes with the territory of that position. But I think Michelle Obama and family, have come to understand and cope with all the paparazzi this entails.

The American TV Media Continues To Lie & Misinform People!

Over the years, the American television media has been misleading and deliberately lying to the American people and the world, whenever they report what they consider to be news.

Today, even after the CDC and the Federal government acknowledges that the current H1N1 Flu epidemic is not caused by SWINE, but by a virus with a strain hitherto unknown.

But the CNN-MSNBC and FOX news television, continues to mislead the American people and broadcast to the world, the same allegations, that has no Validity thus far.

Every Television Anchor has been referring to this epidemic as the Swine flu, knowing fully well that they are misleading their viewers.

This is how the former Soviet Union, now (Russia), former Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia, now (The Czech Republic), and Cuba, uses the media to misinform the masses.

And the US media is also doing so, under the premise of Freedom Of The Press and Media, or Free Speech.

This medium is no different from those that I sighted above, in any way, shape, or form!

The Wars In Iraq & Afghanistan Can Never Be Won!

Wars are only won, when TWO armies try to out maneuver each other tactically, and strategically, thus ending in victory for one of them, or surrender for the loser.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan does not fit the classical war scenario, because the USA and her allies, are not combating any official national army or military.

Therefore, there can be no victory in Iraq or Afghanistan!

But at some point in time, the USA will have to come up with some solution for a total withdrawal from both of these camps, and declare publicly that our combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan are completed according to plan.

This will save the US and her remaining allies, some much needed face!

Jordan Destroys Their Non Halal Beef!

Yes, the Egyptian government authorized the killing of thousands of pigs, for fear that they may be contaminated with the H1N1 virus. Even though the WHO, or (World Health Organization) has specifically stated that there is no scientific evidence found so far, to validate the fear or claim that this flu virus came from pigs.

This irrational, insensitive, and aggressive act of killing the food of Non-Moslems within that society, just goes to show how the Egyptian government has little or no regard for Non-Moslem segments within it's midst.

And I wonder if cows, were the alleged culprits of this flu virus, if the Egyptian government would have ordered the mass killing of all cows?

I shudder to think just how other Islamic countries will behave in the light of this precedent now established by Egypt, when the H1N1 virus starts to appear on their shores?

New Swine Flu Virus Description Explained!

The so called Swine Flu epidemic's description has been changed to the H1 N1 virus.

The US Food Safety organization said publicly, that there is NO association of this virus with food. 

And to continue calling it Swine Flu, would be sending the wrong message.

Which can be interpreted to mean a food or pork borne virus.

So far, there has been no validity of this virus being transmitted via any food product, but is primarily an AIR BOURNE virus.

However, the media personnel seem reluctant to cease calling it Swine Flu!


One Death So Far In America!

ONE death has occured here in the USA, and the media is hollering Bloddy Murder.

The World is Coming To An End.

How pathetic.

Greeting each other in India is done with the clasping of both palms, and bowing the head slightly, while saying the greeting 'Shanti-Shanti-Shanti'

This may have to be adopted in other cultures, to counter the fear of contracting the H1-N1 virus, by shaking hands, or by touching cheeks with cheeks.

The Current Swine Flu Virus!

The Current Swine Flu Virus! 

As far as I understand, a new outbreak of Flu, called Swine Flu, was discovered in Mexico. So far, healthy young people seem to be the victims of this epidemic, and the reason/s are still to be determined by the CDC.

They have also been a few cases of suspected Swine Flu infected individuals in New York, which has probable cause for the suspicion that this may ultimately be categorized as a pandemic flu virus.

However, you cannot contract this flu from eating PORK. 

And as an airborne virus, the natural way of infection is via the nostrils via inhalation, or contaminated surfaces or places that someone may have sneezed or coughed, and sputum droplets would have landed there from their nose or mouth.

So please observe some basic precautions now that this virus is on the move, by following these precautions.

* Never sneeze or cough with your mouth open.

* If you feel bodily pain, accompanied with a fever, consult your Local Medical Center or Hospital.

There are known medications that will be administered if necessary. But do not allow a severe cough or fever to go un-treated, because it may be something serious.


Wearing A Mask?

Anyone wearing a mask for fear of contracting the Swine Flu Virus, is a FOOL.

Masks are only recommended when someone is ALREADY infected.

Such recommendations are prescribed to people infected with a SEVERE type of Pneumonia, Flu, and Tuberculosis.

So do not allow the IDIOTS in the local media, any group, or public official to coerce you into wearing any mask, for fear of contracting the Swine Flu virus!


Blame It On Mexico!

There is some speculation in the local television media, that the Swine Flu virus originated in Mexico. This I presume is because that country has the highest deaths related to it, and has more infected people per capita, that any other country so far.

But I caution everyone not to allow this kind of speculation to get out of control, before any validation is found to substantiate that claim.

Remember when HIV/AIDS was first discovered in the 1980's in the USA. 

Shortly thereafter, fingers started pointing to Africa, and the Baboons there as the source!

For those of you who feel that the President is not doing enough to stem the unemployment crisis currently.

Just let me make some things quite clear now!

* President Obama inherited over three trillion dollars in deficit:

* President Obama is doing all that is necessary, prudent, judicious, and feasible, to get this economy moving in a positive way.

For those of you who think he is not moving fast enough, or does not have a clue what he is doing.

I say, you are entitled to your own opinion.

However, the American electorate elected him with 53% of the national votes, to GOVERN, as per his promises. And that is what he is doing.

* The 780 Billion US Dollar National Rescue Initiative Stimulus Bill:

* The No Child Left Behind Funding Initiative Enactment:

* Added millions of US dollars for Medicaid Funding, to cover eleven million children without Healthcare coverage or access:

* The Equal Rights For Women In The Workplace Enactment/Bill:

* Eanctment of The Employee Free Choice Act, which caters for the recognition of a collective bargaining agent for employees, secret ballot, and voluntary union conscription at the workplace:

* A White House Council for Women & Girls:

* Meeting with EU leaders at the G-20 summit recently, and getting them to sign a consensual agreement for financial assistance in the vicinity of three trillion dollars, for the global financial crisis stabilization:

* Meeting with our South-Central & North American Leadership, making amends for past grievances with the US policies, and setting the stage for improved trade/relations with the entire continent:

* Releasing some classified documents that validate that some forms of torture was done by the CIA, with the consent of the George W. Bush White House administration:

* And authorizing the killing of those three pirates, that captured an American Commercial/Humanitarian ship in the Somali sea. 

(B) The pirates were killed by three Navy Seal's snipers.

These are just some of the actions he has taken within the first 100 days of his administration, and is still counting!

I Support Legislation To Curb Credit Card Fraud Now!

This nation of ours (The USA), survives and thrives economically via Credit Card's accepting business facilities. Almost every American of legal age has one. And their is hardly any organization, business, insurance agency, or financial institution, that does not require it's clients to be holders of credit cards and a Credible Credit History.

When I came to this country I was told that having good credit will determine how much credit you can access. And when you don't have any credit history, chances are, most businesses, insurance companies, or banks, would hesitate to grant you any credit, because of it.

And I asked the following question of my friend at that time!

Wouldn't allowing someone to access credit at anytime, even if he or she cannot afford that items/s, or does not have the equity to guarantee such credit, asking for serious fraudulent behavior?

And he told me in response, that credit is the American way of doing business, and everyone is expected to have some form of credit history to get ahead in this country.

The current national and international economic crisis validates my concerns about credit gone mad!

So the question now is, can we abolish or regulate the amount of credit per person by law?

I would suggest that no one should be allowed credit over his or her annual income. Unless he or she is wealthy, or has assets that can be used as equity for any loss or default on his or her remittances. Having such ceilings established by law, would allow most credit card holders, especially those within the lower income brackets, the most vulnerable, the elderly, and gullible, to monitor their credit ability at any time. 

Having this knowledge recorded in a national Credit Card data base, will also help any organization that provides credit to clients as part of their business, to check that person's ability to pay.

So I am for any legislation that would allow the above to be made law!

What Is A Bad Bank?


The new definition of a Bad Bank are the following:

Those banks that have lost millions or billions on TOXIC loans or Investments, can have these loans shuntered off into a Bad Bank or (Toxic Loans Clearing House), which will buy those toxic loans at current price.  

Most of which will be very much lower in value, from the time they were sold or given.

So the Banks that held these TOXIC loans will now be FREE to get New Capital from the State's Treasury (on Loan), to start lending once again, and providing loans to it's customers.

In time, when the economy recovers, those TOXIC loans at the Bad Banks or (TOXIC Loans Clearing House), will SELL those loans on the open market for less that they cost at the outset.

Some of these will accrue Profit from those sales.

Other sales will incur a Loss too.

From the new TOXIC sales that have accrued profit, the bank will pay this money back to the banks it came from, for them to eventually repay the State, for the loans they got for those TOXIC acommodations.

President Obama's administration through the Department Of Justice, will not charge any CIA officer that indulged in torture, during the George W. Bush administration.

This decision may cause some head hunters on the left to get all fired up and angry. But I imagine that president Obama needs these same CIA officials or officers, to operate in his new administration. 

Most of which have experience ands skills that are needed in the fight against terrorism internationally.

However, if we allow anger, vengeance, and payback for any wrong doing, some of these officials may have undertaken, then we may be forfeiting ourselves the benefit of some potential assets, that are vitally needed at this time.

Politically, this may be a grave dis-appointment for many Obama supporters, some of whom was waiting for a change of administration to get even!

So let us see how supporters from every strata and affiliation, will behave in the next three years general elections.

As I see it, the US Justice Dept,. via the Attorney General should have been allowed to have an investigation into who in the line of authority, gave the direct orders for torture to be done on prisoners. 

Did the Attorney General raise this concern with the president?

Or did the president suggest to the US Attorney General not to pursue any investigation that would lead to prosecution. Whatever it is, a precedent has already been established, and if no legal Proceedings are brought against any alleged torturer. 

Then what is to prevent some future president or administration, repeating this scenario

Word on the street and on Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn-New York City, is that the Trinidad & Tobago government, erected barricades along the route to the Capital City-Port Au Spain in Trinidad & Tobago. This was done to shut out the social embarrassment that the government does not want president Obama to see en route to the Capital City.

Now why would the Trinidad government be embarrassed about this social-economic malady?  

President Obama also have relatives living in poverty in Kenya, and is fully aware of the social-economic conditions there too. Trying to hide the reality of poverty among the people will not create a favorable impression of Trinidad & Tobago. 

In fact, it may very well cause the president pause, on his assessment about who and what this Caribbean administration really is about. And if their is credibility in any future dealings with it.

Tell president Obama that we too have our Ghettoes, and impoverished peoples, and are desperately trying to lift our people collectively, out of social and economic poverty.

If the pirates continue to show no regard for an ocean going vessel, regardless of whether that or those vessels are delivering Food Aid to Africa, or any African country.

Then I say, STOP delivering food there NOW!

If these pirates are going to hold those states that are desperately in need of food hostage, then let them STARVE.

When starvation really start causing the deaths of thousands of their own people, then I guess they will see the light and desist such activities.

And those African states that chose to sit idle by, and not intervene to help or protect ships in that region. I say to them too, that when the pirates are no longer able to attack ships successfully, they will turn upon their own governments and people to plunder.

So if these African states and governments in that region, does not make deliberate efforts to thwart piracy, their bases on shore, and their leadership, by killing them whenever they are captured, or caught indulging in piracy. 

Then NO FOOD AID will continue!

Quote from one pirate:

"From now on, if we capture foreign ships and their respective countries try to attack us, we will kill them (the hostages)," Jamac Habeb, a 30-year-old pirate, told the Associated Press from one of Somalia's piracy hubs, Eyl. "(U.S. forces have) become our No. 1 enemy."

Well if this is not presumption, what is?

But I will say this, if these brigands believe that the US will roll over while her mercantile shipping is harassed, pirated, or fellow Americans killed.

They are VERY WRONG.

The US will use whatever Military and Maritime Assets at it's disposal, to save or protect it's interests and sea going vessels, and personnel. And I hope that if necessary, the US military will use DRONES, the Navy, and Marine Corps to go after any pirate groups, communities, on land or sea, and obliterate them, if they ever do harm to our people.

A clear and certain message MUST be sent to these terrorists, that we will NEVER allow them or any other to terrorize Americans at home, at sea, or in the Air!

What Exactly Are Snipers?

A sniper is a professional killer, who may operate for a fee by private contracting. Or may be part of a sniper's unit in the US military.

Why those three snipers were able to fire the three shots in UNISON, was because they were each wired, with their weapons cocked and looking directly through their viewers, waiting patiently for that opportune moment when they could make the kill with certainty.

And when that opportune moment came, they were all focused on the target that each one would kill..

However, to be qualified as a member of any sniper unit in the military, intense training for accuracy is done, weapons of all descriptions are used, and to qualify, the individual soldier has to go through a rigorous training course on the target practice, and meet the specified amount of targeted hits as required.

A sniper is a professional killer (private or military), and is the most feared individual in any combat theater.

Today three pirates were killed, one captured, and the US Captain hostage saved from capture.

Sincere praise go to the FBI, and the US Navy Seals, that were engaged in this rescue effort. 

And I also extend to president Obama my regards for his expressed concern about this incident.

However, international mercantile efforts MUST be formulated to deal with this Terror on the High Seas.

Furthermore, I hope that the pirates of Somalia are watching, and would re-consider ever trying to capture another American Mercantile or Military vessel again.

I had hoped that all of these criminals would have been killed for their avaricious acts against the innocent. 

However, the one who was not killed faces criminal charges, and I hope right here in the USA,
in a Court Of Law.

Telling North Korea not to launch that missile, or else there would be consequences.

And after the missile was deliberately launched, then asking the Security Council to discipline them via some UN Resolution.

That declaration has made our president look like a WHIMP, and makes Dick Cheney's comments recently about him 
(Mr. Obama), not ready for the Big Leagues seem more convincing.

Now we have the Somalia Sea incident, and the US Navy is being held hostage, because they do not want to accidentally harm or kill an American Captain held hostage by pirates.

Sometimes one has to sacrifice the few (or the individual), for the good of the MAJORITY!

The French Squat Teams recently rescued some of it's citizens who were captured by pirates. One French citizen was killed in this effort.

However, the French government maintains that they will never allow pirates to exploit them or their people at sea.

Recently some members of The Black Caucus went on a fact finding visit to Cuba, but did not do a thorough or in depth evaluation of the socio-political climate therein.

The United States trades with China, even though it is still A Communist Dictatorship, and Human Right's abuses still obtain therein:

* Freedom Of Speech and The Media, is still controlled and policed by the state;

* Political Prisoners are still being incarcerated, tortured, and killed on a daily basis.

* And Freedom Of Religion, (those not sanctioned or approved by the state), is curtailed, and their followers harassed, and imprisoned. 

* The Dalai Lama's movement, and the FULAN GONG movement are cases in point!

But yet, the USA still allows trade, travel, and diplomatic relations with that state.

What Did The Black Caucus Achieved?

As far as I heard them explained. They seem to feel that meeting with Fidel Castro, his Brother, and other family members, was a big deal. They also seem to feel that the social climate is fine in that country too.

But they never sought to meet with any Anti-Communist/Dictatorship political advocate, or Agitator, Anti-Government Controlled Media representatives either, nor did they enquire about the political prisoners (in the hundreds), that are imprisoned there?

This to my mind was a huge dis-appointment for us all in this country (USA), and makes it absolutely necessary for the Obama administration to ensure that any dialogue he intends to re-establish with Cuba, contains the following agenda.

* The releasing of political prisoners.

* The Establishing of Freedom Of The Press, and other Media.

*Freedom To Assemble, Petition for or against National Policy by the masses. 

*And Freedom To Travel out of Cuba for all citizens, who are not criminals, or fugitives of Cuba.

* Re-establishing Trade with Cuba, and allowing money transfers from Cuban exiles here, to their relatives over there.

If we can get Cuba to comply with most of the above agenda items, then we would have made a significant improvement in our relations with Cuba and the Cuban government.

The American People Need To Know The Truth!

It seems like those classified documents from the past seven years of the George W. Bush administration has finally been released, or is expected to be released soon. Some insiders claim that there are very graphic or grisly portrayals of torture recommended, implemented, and practiced, that may warrant legal retribution for several past officials of the recent past administration. 

Releasing this information may also cause some embarrassment for some of our allies, some of whom allowed Renditions on their shores, for the facilitating of interrogative methods, some of which today is categorized as torture.

Do we want this revelation to be made public, after president Barack Obama said repeatedly, that he intends to turn the page, and not get bogged down with the past ills, with this current economic crisis at hand!

However, if or when these documents become public, the American people must be prepared to face some very harsh facts, about our elected leadership in Washington-DC, and whether pursuing this vendetta or judicial end, will solve anything, much less prevent it from happening again.

Is Not Getting Married Going Against Nature?

I heard this expression in a movie recently, and I was inspired to pen some of my views on this issue!

Most societies hitherto have had some form of mutual arrangement between two individuals, (a male and a female). This was done in private or public, depending upon the type of religious, traditional, or social norms of that clan, group, region, or culture.

Today in most modern societies, the institution of marriage is taken for granted, and most people, especially women feel that when they have gotten to know some male, who they may have been seeing, and feels that the emotional bond that was established between them, warrants consolidation through marriage.

Some women and men may feel that if a child is imminent between them, it would be in the interest of the unborn, to have a father figure to emulate, or help nurture during those early years of it's development.

This idea has become institutionalized throughout the world today.

Marriage can also be a means to inherit wealth, ensure that wealth stays within a certain lineage or hereditary family too. We also have marriages between same genders, which is a relatively new phenomenon in developed societies.

Because Keeping Them In Place Contradicts Transparency & Ethics!

I have been studying the financial situation that this country (USA) are experiencing currently, and I ask myself the following:

* Why is the Obama administration still allowing those CEO's and other senior banking executives to continue administering those failed and failing banks?

* Why is the Obama administration using as his Treasury Secretary, someone who was responsible for OVERSEEING Regulation of the same financial institutions that have received billions of federal dollars?

* Why hasn't the Obama administration ask the Congress to conduct an enquiry into THE CAUSE, of the financial debacle within the banking and other financial institutions on Wall Street?

* And finally, how could people who are crooked, and gained handsomely in fraudulent acts, be allowed to continue managing our financial institutions, because the White House executive seemingly, does not want the American Commonweal to know the TRUE volume or magnitude if the financial demise of our Banking Institutions?

These questions MUST be addressed NOW, or will be one of the negatives that will be used in a few years against this administration's re-election desire!

Like Hondai, General motors and Ford motor companies want to introduce a new deal with potential car buyers, for the acquisition of a new car, with some guarantees.

Here is the deal:

GM and FORD intends to offer any customer who is employed, or does not envisage being dismissed from his/her employ currently. To be able to get a new car, and will continue to use it even if he or she becomes un-employed some time after this purchase.

This car owner will be able to pay premiums for that vehicle for up to nine months, and GM and FORD will pay the premiums afterwards, if that car owner gets dismissed from his/her job.

But what is not fully explained or clarified are the following:

* Suppose the dismissed car owner finds another job after the nine month period, but his/her wages are small or is not comparable to the wage he/she earned in the previous job?

* Then how will he/she resume the car payments, if his/her wages can barely provide for the basic essentials for livelihood?

* Or if the dismissed car owner finds employment that is temporary, then how is he/she going to continue the payments under that uncertainty, and will GM and FORD, fill in once again if he or she gets dismissed once again?

CONCLUSION:

As far as I see, GM and FORD are trying to cajole potential car buyers to get involve in some transaction with them, that may very well end up sour for those car owners, in this uncertain economic climate. 

As I see it, no one knows when this economy will reach rock bottom, or even if it starts to recover again, how many thousands are already un-employed, and no one knows how fast, how many, or what type of jobs will be available for the reservoir of un-employed masses.

And getting into any kind of car or home ownership program, like the ones above mentioned, will be taking another RISK that no rational person should even consider, much less engage in!

Pop singer Madonna is trying to adopt another Black African child. This type of behavior of several rich White folks worries me greatly. What is the point helping a few individuals in poverty, when millions are continuously being left alone after the death of a parent, or malaria, hunger, cholera, and other social maladies that are so prevalent in Africa, Asia, Central and South America.

Why can't these same Rich White folks do something REAL like what Opra Winfry does!

Build Schools, Homes, Community Services, Health Clinics, and other social infrastructure, in those states where it is vitally needed and terribly lacking.

This to my mind will do much more to ease the economic burden on those states affected or impacted, with all or most of the above tragedies.

It is so easy to show one's humanity or empathy for others who suffer, but is must be hinged upon real and realistic goals, objectives, and pragmatism.

Mr.Wagner now former CEO of General Motors was dismissed by the Obama administration for failing to deliver as was expected.

It is still not clear if on the presidents orders, he was asked to remove himself from the helm of General Motors.

Now the local media is asking if the administration is injecting itself, in running the business community, and this spells trouble for the Free Market System, that we have been accustomed to, and was using for decades now.

This idiotic and provocative view of those at CNN.com, MSNBC, and elsewhere, by using this scenario of arbitrary injection and control of GM, fail to tell or remind the American people the following.

General Motors is now under the Federal Government's control and supervision, by virtue of receiving taxpayers money, and the State having the majority stake/interest therein.

Therefore, I suggest that you tell Mr. Wolfe of CNN, David Schuster of MSNBC.com, and others to tell the truth, and stop misleading viewers about the REAL facts of this issue!

As I see it, most developed countries in NATO, the US and the UK, have military aircraft that can be launched in seconds to defend large geographic air spaces from incoming missiles. These aircraft have missiles attached to them as part of their defense systems, and can intercept and destroy any missiles incoming, or missile sites if need be.

So why should the US and NATO be contemplating the erection of any 'Radar Defense System' for incoming missiles, in Europe or anywhere around the world?

This to my mind is an act of aggression, in terms of extending one's military power, and aggressive abilities anywhere around the globe. Regardless of how it will be perceived by other nations that feel threatened.

If we should continue along this path, then we are giving those developing countries like Iran, Syria, Israel, North Korea, and others, the right to contemplate sophisticated systems to combat any threat or perceived threat to their territories or allies.

I strongly advocate for the neutralizing of any such treaty, or intent to negotiate any such treaty between any nation or region. 

Especially the USA. Because to continue along this line will inevitably result in the quest for more defense systems, or aggressive systems by all those nations that feel vulnerable to the big powers today!

How To Interpret the President's Budget proposals!

As I see it, if a businessman wants to start or continue doing business. And realizes that in order for his/her business to survive, compete, and maintain the supply of goods and services to it's customers.

Then that business has two options.

!. Re-stock the shelves with more goods, so as to be in a position to supply customer's needs.

2. Or allow the stocked shelves to reach depletion, thus making his/her unable to continue doing business very soon, and possibly going bankrupt.

So it is with the president's budget proposals. 

Some Conservative Democrats, and most Republicans are saying, that the president's budget would increase the national deficit to three or more trillion dollars. And would make this country bankrupted very soon.

But what these 'Doom's Day' predictors are not saying to the American people, is that in order for any investor to accrue profit or revenue, he/she has to initiate the Capital down payment in goods and services, and in time, with growing customer patronage, the business will eventually make a profit, which would allow that business to invest some more assets into that business, for a greater output or revenue.

That to my mind is the rationale behind the president's budget, and it makes a lot of sense to me!

Just to re-iterate my previous position on the surge of piracy in the Somali sea.

I strongly advocate for the total destruction or obliteration any pirate or pirates, trying to board or take over any ship or ocean going vessel. These people are terrorists that operate as mercenaries on the high seas. 

They MUST never be treated a civilian criminals or brigands either.

Death to these people is absolutely necessary, to send a message to all future pirates that the end of toleration and appeasement is over!

Could The Obama Administration Recoup The 120 Million Dividend Payout From AIG?

I don't think that the Obama administration has a valid legal case with AIG, in terms of recouping the 120 million dollar dividends.

Because that was a 'contract of service' that these recipients had with AIG. And asking the recipients to give back or not receive these dividends will be a violation of that contract.

As I see it, if that aspect of the contract was there before the State became the majority stake holder of AIG, then those dividends will have to be re-negotiated, or declared null and void. Because
(I presume), that there would have been the expectation of the Obama administration, that AIG, as recipients of the Public's Money, would not use same to indulge in any monetary transactions that would imply, that they were irresponsible managers of the Public Money or Public trust.

Finally, the recipients of the dividends (if they haven't received it as yet), can refuse to do so, or accept half or part of that payout voluntarily. But it up to them to decide.

Incidentally, stock brokers income are also called dividends. This is just like working from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm on a daily basis. But instead, are paid for their skill at bringing in revenue for their client's investments!

Any action to recoup any dividend payouts might entail a lengthy legal battle with (AIG or the State) vs AIG's clients.

A contract is a legal document or agreement between two or more organizations or individuals, to perform certain tasks for a certain time, at a certain fee or commission, at the end of that contract or assignment.
A.I.G. had such contracts with investors or brokers, and over the years accumulated investments' debts, they did not have securities to back them up with, should they default.

So now that the American taxpayers or State as majority interest holder of that organization's finances, should be re-negotiating that contract. To ensure that no 'Out Of Control' commissions or huge dividends that were hitherto dispensed, does not recur.

And to ensure that A.I.G. complies with the current and new rules of the contract, that the State, in the people's interest has undertaken!

N.I.C.E. Drug Prescription Overseers In Britain Said NO To Cancer Patient!

I watched a presentation or expose of an individual male cancer patient, who is terminally ill with cancer. But the above organization has refused to allow him to access medication, even when he has already been a contributor to the Social Security/National Insurance Authority all his working life.

Now he is two years in retirement, and is refused a much needed medication (to help him live) the remaining part of his physical life. But the above N.I.C.E. authorities have refused his claim, on the grounds that it would be useless and costly to do so, if he will eventually die anyway.

So what about HIV and AIDS patients? Are these people placed in this category too?

Even though (the world community at large) knows, that with the proper prescribed medications, and adherence to taking them as per prescription, prolongs the individual's life. And giving him or her a second chance to make something of his or her life, even though fatally infected with the HIV virus.

I am deeply concerned about this position taken by the N.I.C.E organization, and wonder if the priority is to save lives, or not save those that doctors say will die soon, or may surely die, regardless of whatever drug is prescribed.

If this is the attitude of the N.I.C.E. organization, then they should make it quite clear to the entire nation and their subscribers or clients, this unfortunate FACT.

Sending the Yemenese prisoners that are currently housed at Gyantanamo Bay facility to Saudi Arabia?

Yes, the Obama administration is having consultations with the Yemenese and Saudi governments to take the above prisoners. The Saudi's have agreed to take their countrymen, but the Yemenese government is objecting to the suggestion, that these prisoners both (Saudi's and Yemenese) will be sent to Saudi Arabia for re-orientation, and re-education, for re-entry into normal society. 

It is hoped that with this training or indoctrination, these terror suspects will reform their ways.

So far, no hard and fast evidence can be had to validate this lofty idea, and some former inductees were caught engaging in terror after being released from these Masjids Of Correction!

What Is A Pre-existing Condition?

A pre-existing condition simply means the following:

* If someone intends to seek personal insurance for his/her health, he/she may be asked to declare any of the following ailments or health conditions prior to the moment he/she wants to be insured.

These ailments can be Diabetes, Heart failure, HIV/AIDS, Syphilis, Aneurism, Brain tumor, Prostate cancer, Cancer in general, Alzheimer, Parkinson disease, etc.

Almost every known malady to humans can debar anyone from being insured.

Insurance companies always justify their position by saying, the risks to insure persons with any of the above prior conditions are very severe indeed!

And those companies that allow it may require that the insured, pay enormous premiums in order to qualify.

That is why president Obama is trying to outlaw this pre-condition element, that would prevent any American from getting health insurance coverage period!

President Obama Lifts The Ban On Stem Cell Research Funding!

Why Would Anyone Want To Prohibit The Research On Stem Cell Technology?

Embryonic Stem Cells are not human beings. They are the potential for a human to be developed. So why do some people feel that to use stem cells for scientific research, would be the killing of human life.

How ignorant could anyone be to hold this mis-informed view!

If we had put science on hold for moral and religious beliefs, Penicillin would not have been administered for syphilis, and the other related STD's that it has cured from the human organism for decades, since it's discovery.

As we speak, several nations are doing the same research in order to attain the knowledge that leads to cures for Parkinsons disease, cancer, and other dire diseases. And if we here in the USA continues to be repulsed by this study. Then rest assured, that if and when these cures become a reality, America will find itself purchasing the medications for our own domestic patients, at the tax payers expense.

So before anyone shouts never, never, we MUST stop and do some REAL and Objective thinking about this matter!
