Fidel Castro May Be Down-But Not Out!

February 19-2008:

WORD-UP:

Fidel Castro Has Resigned!

Cuba's Fidel Castro of 81 years, and (Communist Party Chairman-Leader & Founder), has finally stepped down from holding the presidential position. But do not be fooled with this new development.

Under communism, the Party in power is PARAMOUNT. In fact, it is above the law, and national constitution. And the leader which is the embodiment of Fidel himself, still holds sway in the political decisions that determines that state's national agenda.

Until the US embargo is lifted from Cuba, giving that soverign state the ability to trade with the US. In order for them to survive and grow economically. Do not expect much in terms of internal economic-social and political changes there. Afterall, China is also a communist state, and the US is doing business with them. North Korea is also a communist state, and they too are getting US aid.

If the US continues to stifle Cuba's economic development, they will be doing more harm in the long term to the people of Cuba, than any political development they hope to achieve within that country!

Comrade Fidel Castro may be down, but certainly not out of power!
