The Music Of the ATOM?
August 22-2006:
The Music Of The ATOM:
Iran's new approach to national acceptance of their nuclear technological quest!
An Irani composer, in collaboration with a Kiev national symphony orchestra, is working on some classical music to introduce to Irans population. With the approval of it's government, in an effort to sell it's nuclear technological quest to the masses.
Subliminal Coercion Or Indoctrination:
This is just one mode that was used by the Soviet Union under communism, Communist China, North Korea, Cuba, and Yugoslavia, in promoting the communist party's agenda.
If you can have access to mass viewing or listening, then the subliminal or un-conscious indoctrination, coercion or educating, will bring about remarkable results, almost guaranteed.
With the ability to get listeners on-masse, to voluntary listen, be taken in with music that appeals to the spirit, mind, and soul of people. Then you can be assured, that the desired results or approval from them will be almost 100% guaranteed
This is just one of the methods that is used in most countries with dictatorships, or state control, to get their population educated, politically oriented. To induce mass support for the ruling political administration.
All for your information!

Should Same Gender Unions Be Made Legal?
August 21-2006:
Should Same Gender Marriages Be Made Legal?
Pros & Cons:
Historically, in the western societies, marriage between a man and a woman was the preferred type of union. This was and still is sanctioned by religion, religious faiths, and the states that condoned Christianity, Islam, & Judaism, as their national religious and moral resources.
The Constitution Of The United States also refers to this union, as the foundation for the stability of the society. Which is also in keeping with the Founding Father's religious allegiance to Christianity.
Should We Adhere To The Constitution's Preference?
When the constitution of The USA was coined, America was a totally different place socially, economically, and religiously. Black Americans were not Americans, but were slaves or property of the founding fathers, and those who were plantation owners, and slavers.
Blacks were not allowed to marry period, marry Whites, read or write in their language, or learn the language of the White overlords either. The Voting Rights Act for Black Americans did not become a reality until the 1960's after ardent civil agitation, political actions, and physical struggles by Black and White Americans.
So Why Can't The Constitution Be Amended?
Changing the constitution of America, or making amendments to the constitution to accommodate this new or non-traditional concept of marriage may be the only solution. Or allowing the individual states to enact legislation to accommodate equal rights or marriage, between two people of the same gender, may be the more realistic solution to this advocacy.
What is marriage Really?
Marriage is perceived, according to the traditionalists as a legally binding union between two people. A male and a female, and sanctioned by the legal authorities of that state or culture. Under Islam though, two people (male and female), could be married by an Imam (or religious leader), in public, after both parties declare in his presence, and before witnesses that they will abide by the traditional expectations ascribed to married couples.
If they choose to have this union RECOGNIZED or made legal, according to the laws of that land, they are free to do so.
Same gender marriage proposals:
The concern for same gender marriage that is proposed in these United States Of America, and other parts of the western hemisphere, are advocating for the following rights:
* To be able to enjoy all the benefits that a heterosexual couple enjoy legally:
* To be able to have the right to make any decision on a medical issue of a partner, if or when that time comes, legally:
* To be able to have or adopt children legally, without the social scorn that is now associated with same gender relations, and adoptions:
* To be able to leave or bequeath one's personal assets, property, or inheritance to a partner, after death:
* And to be recognized as a legally married couple by society at large, as justified, bona fide, and equal in status with heterosexual marriages:
This is all we are asking the commonweal to understand and allow legally to happen!
Om Shanti.

Reflections Of A Baby Boomer!
August 16-2006:
Are You a Baby Boomer?
Reflections:
* Yes, I was born on March-05-1950, five years after World War-11. I was never consciously aware of the Korean war/conflict in the 1950's, because I was too young to understand.
* But I was old enough to understand the Vietnam War/conflict in the 1960's, and the social and political contradictions, regarding the rationale behind that conflict.
* I also was aware of the invasion of Grenada by US marines, initiated on President Ronald Reagan's directive.
* I can also recall in 1963 when President John F. Kennedy was in office. Long range missile sites were discovered in Cuba by satellite. And the American administration asked the Fidel Castro government to dismantle those sites, less they pose a threat to the USA.
* This warning went un-heeded by Cuba, thus causing America to impose a military embargo, by surrounding the entire island of Cuba with it's warships. Preventing anything from entering or leaving Cuba. Eventually the Cuban government acquiesce to this military posturing by the USA, and dismantled those missile sites.
* In the 1980's American evangelist Jim Jones and his People's Temple Church cult, took over 500 Americans (mostly) elderly Blacks and single parents with children to the hinterland of Guyana. Under the guise of providing a new life for his flock. It was subsequently discovered that the church organizers were into (under cover) drug dealing, and money laundering.
A Congressman named Ryan somehow was informed that some of his constituents were involved or trapped in this community, and he wanted to investigate. He eventually got killed as he was about to depart from a visit he made to that community at Jonestown, Guyana. This happened on the run away tarmac, as he was about to board the plane for the USA.
* When Egypt's president (Anwar Sadat) was assassinated, I was very aware and saddened by this development. Because he was the only Arab leader who felt that dealing with Israel, and acknowledging Israel as a sovereign state, was a reality that they would eventually have to accept.
* I also recall the 'Dismantling of the Berlin Wall,' at an impromptu people's action. This came after many years of hardships, murdering of fleeing escapees, and border traps, placed on the East German or Soviet Union sector of that wall, to prevent East Berliners from leaving.
* I was also overjoyed when South Africa gained it's freedom from APARTHEID. Mr. Nelson Mandella, the champion for the freeing of it's people, emerged from imprisonment. And eventually became the first Black President of the new South Africa.
* Desert Storm, the war in Afghanistan-2001, & now Iraq-2006.
Today, we are told by the current White House administration, that there is an international war on terrorism. And that preemptive defense is the best way to avoid terrorist threats.
Iran, North Korea, and Syria, was also referred to as "'The Axis Of Evil.''
* Hamas & Hesbollah, indigenous Freedom Fighters (alias Mujadeens) of Palestine and Lebanon, and referred to by some as terrorists, have made themselves heroes, by sacrificing themselves in the struggles for freedom from foreign incursions, occupations, and control.
Personally, I have always wanted to see the USA ever since I was a child in Guyana. I indulged in this dream for many years. And it became a reality in May-1989 when I emigrated here permanently!
I also see myself as an advocate for civil-social-political, and equal rights for those who are dis-enfranchised, dis-regarded, or unable to speak or represent themselves in this regard. This is my chosen vocation presently, and for as long as I think it necessary to do so!

Who Are The Mass Murderers?
Because of Israel's incursion into Gaza. The destruction of the Palestinian infrastructure, like the water supplies, fuel oil, electricity, roads, houses and other social infrastructural buildings, and the killing of several Palestinians, especially children.
Hamas kidnapped the two Israeli soldiers, in retaliation to these offenses. These atrocities have caused Hesbollah (I presume), to take action, thus causing the subsequent military conflict with Israel and Hesbollah.
Today however, Israel has not humbled or defeated Hesbollah. As a matter of fact, Hesbollah is still standing TALL, undefeated, as promised by Israel at the outset.
Because of the tactical frustration that Hesbollah caused the Israeli army in the field of battle, they chose to destroy South Lebanon, leaving a scorched earth, and thousands of innocent civilians, (both adults and children), before the cease fire proposed by The UN.
So who is the MASS Murderer in this conflict?

All The King's Men Could'nt Get Humpty Together Again?
August 13-2006:
All The King's Horses & All The King's Men-Couldn't Get Humpty Together Again!
Well, history has not taught some nations anything. They continue to make the same mistakes militarily, over and over again. And they will continue to feel enormous pain and loss of human lives, if they continue to IGNORE the lessons of history.
The military conflict/war between Israel and Hesbollah is such a scenario. This new cease fire deal that the UN was able to coin, incidentally, will not hold indefinitely.
* So long as Israel holds on to lands that are not LEGALLY theirs.
* So long as they continue to subjugate Palestinians to their will and desires.
* So long as they will not allow a democratically elected government (HAMAS), to function legally, and to give Peace a try in Palestine, they will not have peace in that region.
* So long as Israel, The USA, and other countries, continue to castigate Hamas as a terrorist organization, and continue to strangle it's financial support for survival and daily sustenance. They will not have Peace in that region.
* And until Israel-The USA & her allies deal with Hamas as matured governments, with Integrity, Statesmanship, and with Trust, they will only continue to fuel the prejudices, dis-respect, and hate in that region between Israel, Palestine, and Hesbollah.
After all, Hamas, like Hesbollah are both political parties, with their own VOLUNTARY people's militia. And when they are confronted with aggression from without, they will unilaterally co-op all their supporters to fight that aggression.
The abduction of the two Israeli soldiers, and the war with Hesbollah, was triggered by the behavior of Israel in Gaza. The helicopter strikes and killing of innocent civilians, under the guise of seeking out terrorists.
And the continued destruction of Palestinian infrastructure, like oil, heat, electricity, water, and roads, that cripple or make Palestinians starve to death, could not be endured by humane people anywhere. So action had to be taken, so that the world will come to realize the gravity of this situation in that region.
So Hesbollah took the initiative (I presume), to make that statement%2

Do Men Really Understand Or Know Their Role As Nurturer?
August 09-2006:
Do Men Really Know Or Understand Our Role As Nurturer?
In early or primitive societies, men played some very defined and clearly ascribed roles within the community, the tribe, and the collective. Wherever there was a collective, a close knit group, or tribe, the roles of the men were not very different either.
Men fought to protect the group, the tribe, or collective, when attacked or threatened with attack from another tribe or community. Hunted and fished for food too. These were the roles all men had to assume in order to be accepted as qualified for leadership positions, emulation, and social acceptance.
They were also expected to marry, or take some woman from within the tribe to start a family of their own. This ensured the survival and growth of that tribe or group. Certain ceremonies were performed on boys at a certain age, referred to as induction into the group, 'Or Coming Of Age' rituals, before assuming adult responsibilities.
The women were expected to care for, and protect the children in times of warfare from abductions, or death. To provide the community with cooked meals, and other social amenities that was needed to sustain the tribe or community.
And these roles never changed for centuries, until the tribe or collective became so large, that self governance, was then contemplated. Thus creating the birth of the nuclear family, civil governance, and a hierarchy of political control.
The Birth Of The Modern Man:
In modern cultures today, the male is as confused as a child in a candy store, in terms of his choice of role/s, and how to raise or nurture his offspring. Most young men currently are not allowed the closeness with his father, as was once practiced in earlier societies.
Male bonding today as we know it, only happens when that male child goes to school. And if he is unable to cope with athletics, or seem un-interested in physical sports, he will encounter ostracism, censure, and verbal rebuke, for not seemingly interested in male oriented things.
This happens to most young males, because they were never taught or shown how to bond with their fathers. They were never taken in the wings, confidence, or tutorship of their fathers, to rump, go hunting, go fishing, indulge in some dirty joking, and mixed with some of his older friends, just to see and experience the maleness, and fraternity from such encounters.
Adolescent Ignorance:
Most young men at puberty is ever taken aside by their fathers, and told the things that would help him understand, how his body functions at this stage. The sexual desires and interest in other boys, girls, and women in general, that this stage of his growth requires.
Very often he is told by his father, or step-father the following:
* Not to masturbate, or look at pornography:
* Not to have sex without condoms:
* Not to see or get too close to girls, before he finishes college:
* Not to impregnate any girl, or his allowance and college hopes will be dashed.
* And not to stay out late or after midnight, or he may have to move out:
So young adolescent men today can never grow mentally, psychologically, or intellectually, if they are not allowed these experiences. If they are never told the pros and cons of the above. Never allowed to explore (with proper guidance or tutorship), the ways and means of coming of age, and personal responsibility.
Many young men (like myself), never knew or had a father in the home while growing up. Mom was playing both roles, which conflicts with her true role as mother and nurturer. She overtime will inevitably overpower, control, and influence her male child, to the point where he invariably feels indebted to her for life.
That is why so many men are unable to move away from home, or from their mother's control or influence in their life, and families. This experience with a mother, only also prevents him for growing normally as a male, because there was no male father figure to emulate. He may have used other male figures like older buddies in the neighborhood, public figures, or church brothers, as role models. But they could never fill that void of closeness which a father is supposed to fulfill with their sons.
So he grew up not knowing how to love other men as brothers, pals, buddies, or friends. He may also seek this love from the same gender later in life, because he wants it so badly, and cannot fully comprehend or reciprocate it, if or when he encounters this feeling.
Homosexuality & Loneliness:
In the life of most homosexual men today, there is a void that is felt emotionally, that will never be filled. Which to my mind, stems from some or most of the above experiences outlined. This void interferes with their relationships, the inability to form long or true friendships or relationships, based on love, sharing, forgiveness, and trust.
Some seek to gain this lack by condoning personal abuse to them. And some feel that in order to be accepted by another man emotionally, they have to accommodate his every wish or desire. This mentality stems from verbal and physical abuse that many Homosexual men experienced growing up at home, the communities where they live, their schools, and even in college.
Raising Families Of Our Own:
There is a trend within the Gay/Homosexual communities internationally, to have legal permission to raise families of their own. This contention is perceived by the communities at large with mixed feelings. Most states in The USA have not allowed or enacted legislation, which will allow two men to legally marry. And some states are grappling with the concept of partnership agreements, adopting children, inheritance, and visitation rights to homosexuals.
To be continued.....

The Alleged US Soldier Who Raped Iraqi Girl:
Troops 'Took Turns' To Rape Iraqi Girl:
A US military hearing has examined testimony of how three soldiers took it in turns to try to rape an Iraqi girl aged 14 in Mahmudiya in March. The girl and three family members were allegedly killed by four US soldiers. Graphic details of the attack at the family's home came in a sworn statement by one of the accused, James P Barker.
The preliminary hearing will decide whether to court-martial the four. The case is one of a series of atrocities blamed on US forces in Iraq. Along with Sergeant Paul Cortez, Private Jesse Spielman, and Private Bryan Howard, Specialist Barker is charged with rape and murder.
The four are alleged to have helped a former private - Steven Green, who has since left the army - plan, carry out and cover up the attack. Mr Green has pleaded not guilty in a federal court and will be tried separately in the US. The fifth soldier is alleged to have lied to cover up for his colleagues.
Investigator Benjamin Bierce interviewed Mr Barker, 23, on 30 June and took down his statement, he told the hearing at a US military base in Baghdad. On the day of the attack the soldiers had been drinking Iraqi whisky mixed with an energy drink and practising golf strokes at a checkpoint south of Baghdad, Mr Barker's statement said.
One of the soldiers, Steven Green, said he "wanted to go to a house and kill some Iraqis," it alleged. The four eventually went to a house about 200 metres (yards) away and put the parents and their five-year old daughter in the bedroom, but kept the older girl in the living room.
According to Mr Barker's statement, he and Mr Cortez took it in turns to rape or attempt to rape her. Mr Barker heard shots from the bedroom, and Steven Green emerged with an AK-47 in his hand saying "They're all dead. I just killed them." According to the testimony, Mr Green then also raped the girl and shot her dead. Her body was doused in kerosene and set alight.
The first day of the hearing on Sunday saw an Iraqi army medic describe how he found the bodies of the four Iraqis. He told prosecutors he was ill for weeks after witnessing the crime scene.
Proceedings are expected to continue for several days.
