Furthermore, I take back what my people said about her!

However, could any other journalist deliberately/accidentally cross into North Korea's territory and get the same treatment and release?

This scenario tells me quite clearly that those two women did not accidentally cross North Korea's border. They took the risk knowing fully well what they were doing. But hoping to make the entrance, do their spying, and return to the USA to tell the tale.

However, they were caught, and was about to do some 20 years in uncle Kim's Labor camps. 

I hope this sends a message to other bravado journalists to resist such temptations.

IRAQI women are having a difficult time finding husbands for marriage. Thousands of Iraqi men have been killed in this war, or have left Iraq for personal safety abroad.

This reminds me of the time when the prophet Mohammed, after several decades of war with infidels, he DECREED or issued a Fatwah, allowing men to marry more than one woman. So long as he could afford to support them, and house them under ONE tent.

This was seen by him as necessary to accommodate those thousands of women, who had lost their husbands, or had no chance of ever getting married.

New HIV Strain Discovered in Woman: 


If we assume that this finding is REAL and TRUE. Then the next question is.

* Did this new HIV transmission occur via Blood or Inhalation?  

Because as far as I am aware, HIV is transmitted via Body Fluids, or HIV contaminated Blood Transfusions. 

And if we could accept that this new HIV associated strain supposedly contracted by some Gorilla or Chimpanzee, then it had to be of a SEXUAL nature. And that leads to the speculation that some Male or Female may have had some sexual encounter with a Chimp or a Gorilla!

Until the SPECIFIC mode of transmission of this new HIV strain is determined. I refuse to accept this new finding or speculation/s.

Could The Internet Be Responsible For Cursive Writing Skills Demise?


As a child growing up, I attended Kindergarten school, like so many children were expected to do, to begin their education. Writing in cursive was a MUST at that time, in all schools, regardless of whether they were private or state controlled.

Today, some wonder if the computer generation will not have the ability to write in that manner, because everything is done automatically in TEXT format, and thus far, there are no cursive keys on our key boards to allow for that type of writing.

Incidentally, for those who are not sure what cursive writing is, and may be too lazy to find out. Here is the definition.

CURSIVE writing allows the writer to connect letters together. Instead or writing JOHN, the writer will join each letter together! 

I read an article today that claimed some person at the age of twenty six years of age, could not write in cursive. I presume that this person may have had his initial education on some other planet. Because the computer and Internet only came on board in the 1970's. So this medium cannot be blamed for his ignorance. 

I hope that cursive writing skills are still being taught in our Kindergarten schools, and encouraged by all teachers and professors in High School and Colleges too. 

Because these skills are preferred when writing personal letters, applications to future employers, college exams, essays, and research papers, and is another way to display ones ability to think and write with fluidity and grace!

The US Economy's Decline Is Almost Stabilized:


The Obama administration seem to believe that the national economy has reached Rock Bottom, and the rate of un-employment is decreasing steadily. So how are we going to know for sure, when employers will re-hire fired employees, start hiring again, or even resort to giving back their employees the normal forty hour per week work schedule?

The current data indicates that un-employment is at 12 %. And that figure will increase, but not greatly as the National Economy Stimulus Package starts taking effect. Any yet I saw in the news that New York State governor is complaining that as yet, he has not received his state's Stimulus Package monies. 

So I am wondering about California's economy on the verge of bankruptcy, with layoffs in the thousands, Federal spending cuts in the millions, shorter working hours across the board for almost every industry or enterprise. And I ask myself if the American people could continue to hold on much longer, hoping that things will improve in their respective areas anytime soon.

Furthermore, only 3% of the Initial Stimulus Package was invested in the economy, so those who are thinking about another stimulus package, should acquaint themselves with the facts, before anticipating catastrophe just yet!

I Totally Agree With The Decision To Forego The Production Of The F-22 Jets!

If the Defense Secretary Robert Gates thinks that it would be wiser to redistribute our scarce resources, on other much needed services/programs. Then it would be incumbent upon all law makers to reconsider this idea.

After all, he is the Defense Secretary, and the one appointed to oversee and review all Defense Contracts, and Defense needs for the US military services.

The debate centers on how many F-22s the U.S. military needs.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates has argued that no additional jet fighters are needed and said the money could be better spent on other programs.

But Congressional supporters say buying more planes would help the National Guard and prevent layoffs in the defense industry.

The debate has not fallen along partisan lines.

Obama's Republican opponent from last fall, Sen. John McCain, is co-sponsor of an amendment to strip the funding from the Senate bill. Sen. Joe Lieberman wants to buy more jets.

It is generally understood that the current International Copyright Laws MUST be updated to allow for the Freedom to Access, Share materials of all sorts on the Internet, without the infringement of governments, commercial interests, and imposed Legislation.

The point I am making are the following:

* Any individual male or female, adult or child MUST be allowed access to the Internet.

* Internet access MUST be FREE.

* Internet use must be based on need, affordable provider, variety, Fiber Optic technology, and without Commercial Coercion.

* No Internet user should be denied access to the Internet if he/she downloaded music, or movies from another Internet user.

* No Internet user should be judicially penalized because he/she shared files (music, movies or videos), with friends or contacts on the Internet for FREE.

* And no Internet user should be penalized by any Judge, the State, or Private Enterprise, because he/she downloaded some copyrighted material from another Internet user online, for FREE. To view, or listen to, regardless of who legally owns it. 

So long as those Internet users did not personally sell those materials that they accessed freely.

Furthermore:

There seem to be the attitude of some governments and commercial enterprises to suggest, that Internet users MUST comply with their wishes. And this attitude and behavior conflicts with the established understanding, that the Internet was originally created for FREE use by anyone who chose to do so.

Turkey's Secular Democracy Is In Jeopardy!

When the leader and military general Atta Turk came to power in Turkey, the Constitution was amended to ensure that the state promotes and practices Democracy, The Rule Of Law, and remains a Secular State.

The National Army was charged with the responsibility to ensure the no civilian government violates the Constitutional and Democratic Secular Objectives. 

And to intervene whenever such violations occur, to re-establish another Civilian Democratic Authority.

Today, the current pontifical administration is espousing views, especially the Prime Minister that Islamic preferences will be encouraged and promoted. 

This attitude spells trouble for the majority of Turks who believe and want a Democratic State, based on the Rule Of Law, with Secular Values, and governed by A Democratic administration.

Could Circumcism Protect One From Sexual Disease?

This debate does not explain fully how disease is sexually transmitted. And how the suggestion that Circumcism will be of any help.

However, here is my TAKE on this issue.

* Male Genital Circumcism does NOT prevent HIV or any other sexual disease transmission.

* Herpes, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and other sexually transmitted diseases can also be contracted regardless or whether the male is circumcised or not.

And finally, HIV is not the only disease that is LETHAL. Syphilis is also lethal if it goes undetected and untreated for a lengthy period of time.

So those who advocate for the Circumcism of all males are ignorant of the TRUE reality, and how diseases are transmitted sexually.

Some Suggestions For National Community Service!

Some Ideas For Community Service!

I have listened to Senator Barack Obama speak about Community Service initiatives by the Federal Government, that encourages High Schoolers, College kids, Seniors, Juniors, Retirees, and anyone with special skills that they would like to share with the community.

* To get involved in providing voluntary contributions in schools, churches, community organizations, overseas, and any place they feel they would like to serve. 

* This ideal could also be facilitated to HIV patients who have lived or survived this pandemic:

* Have been taking the prescribed medications, and have personally known and experienced all the side effects of these medications. Which makes them eligible to advocate for Federal, State, and City funding for improved prevention, and to facilitate where necessary, with some "per-diem" emoluments.

* For their willingness to make themselves available to train, impart, and facilitate HIV Infected People's Groups, Gender Identity issues, and Stigma relating to HIV infection, Family issues, Sexual and Gender identity issues.

*And helping them to access the services for people living with HIV, as it relates to language differences, gender identity, and sexual preferences.

All of these areas are ready to provide qualified personnel to assist the Federal, State, and City government's commissions and committees that would organize, facilitate, and provide such personnel, training, and advocacy, whenever and wherever the need arise.

FINALLY:

I am ready and willing also to get on board any committee that initiates programs for training advocates to petition political representatives, petition political representatives for more HIV and related funding needs, providing some per-diem can be provided, which will assist in transportation, accommodation, and other out of pocket needs, when involved in any of these programs.

The Political Problems In Africa Today!


I watched a discussion on your france24.com television today. And there was a discussion that one of your anchors had with two African women about Africa's plight currently. Unfortunately, these two women tried in their own fashion to explain some of the problems there. But was unable to CLEARLY do so, in any coherent and logical manner.

And I was very disappointed by this lame and inept participation from these two women.

I would have imagined that anyone attending such a interview on TV would have at least prepare some written pointers, so that they would be able to have it at hand when that question arises, to aid an intelligent response.

But I guess some of us are not so inclined to prepare beforehand.

However, I believe that most of the African states, especially where there is a dictatorship, or military governance, the commonweal have little or no choice, but to go along with what the state espouses.

Mainly because the state controls the national media/radio, the press, and the Internet (where that medium is available).

When it comes to national elections, the commonweal does not have viable and credible political representatives to identify with. 

Much less trust to represent them with clear and identifiable policies that the people want.

And finally, most local politics are based on ethnicity, and ethnic preferences. And this very often is used by politicians, and the state to divide the people politically, regionally, and nationally, in almost every election process and preparation.

IRAQ'S Oil Revenue Distribution Problems!

The Federal Government In Baghdad & It's Relations With The Kurds!

Since the military overthrow of Saddam Hussein, and the subsequent Democratically elected Shia controlled government and Parliament. There has been some worrying and concerns with how the National Oil Revenues will be distributed.

Legislation was enacted since 2003 in the Iraqi Parliament, ratified and passed into law, but have not been implemented as of yet. 

It pertains to the entering and approving of all Oil Contracts with foreign companies, and how the revenues will be distributed.

However, at the present time, the Kurdish government in the Kurdish controlled region has already entered into Oil Contracts with foreign companies. But under the current Iraqi Legislation, those contracts MUST be approved by the Central Government in Baghdad. 

Therefore, if any oil contract is entered into without the prior approval of The Central Government in Baghdad, those contracts have no legal bearing, and would be null and void under the current laws.

Meanwhile, the potential for Iraq to produce huge quantities of oil, and export increased amounts of oil is tremendous. And there are still many oil fields that have yet to be explored and developed in several regions of Iraq.

The US military was protecting all of Iraq's Oil fields since the invasion started. But that will soon come to and end, with the handing over of such responsibility to the National Security Forces of Iraq very soon.

OBAMA Addresses AFRICA From GHANA-2009!

Due to poor satellite transmission, the audio and video of this visit may not be too good to watch or listen to. However, here is my take of what president Obama has said to all of Africa and Africans.

Governance:

In this regard, president Obama stressed the need for transparency and good governance throughout Africa. A Free Press where there is none, and the ability to dissent or protest against the political administration. Because these are some of the methods through which democracy is practiced.

Equality Under The Law:

* In this regard, president Obama stressed that all Africans and people everywhere MUST have Equal Rights Under The Law, especially in a democracy. And that states MUST never use power to Change The Constitution to allow any political administration to extend itself in power, or to favor any administration in power.

* America and my administration Abhors the Manipulating Of Constitutions, Free Press Curtailments, Coercive and Oppressive Governance.

* Lack of Transparency & The Rule Of Law, and Equal Opportunities For All Africans.  

Education & National Service:

In this regard, president Obama stressed the need for YOUNG PEOPLE especially, to get involved in community/nation building, via a good education, community service, and positive actions in their personal lives.

And hold their political leaders and administration accountable for any failures, corruption, or un-transparency in the political process of governance.

Finally:

Most of President Obama's address was directed to all of Africa's leadership and populace. He mentioned his family history and ties to Africa, and how former Africans who became slaves, contributed to the economic growth of their slave masters. 

But today with independence in most former colonies, an educated African elite and commonweal, they must not rest until all of Africa realizes it true potential economically, politically, and globally.

LOVE Is All That I Ask For!

Love Is All That I Ask For!

Yes all that Michael Jackson wanted was Love!

Love is what he gave to all who met him, 

felt him, embraced him, and saw him.

Love is what Michael never fully got from his father,

But instead what he got was verbal and physical abuse,

most of the time.

Some people asked why was he so frail?

Why was he so sensitive?

Why was he so giving?

But these people were unable to comprehend Michael's love, 

Because it was so pure, so un-conditional, so real, and so relentless,

That it made some individuals feel guilty, 

ashamed, envious, and embarrassed.

Because they were unable to reciprocate, 

unable to feel, unable to give, 

and unable to accept his love for what is was!


Michael was one of those rare kinds who wore his love outwards,

Wore it proudly, and dared anyone to refuse it, but not resent it!

Michael never had a normal childhood, 

like most youngsters suppose to have.

He was being used to make money, make music, 

and make others feel good about themselves.

Long before he even understood what he was doing all meant!

And for that loss, 

he never grew up to fully comprehend the real word of Adulthood, 

adult prejudices, adult hates, and adult maturity!


So he improvised most of the time, 

Sometimes successfully, 

Sometimes un-successfully!

When Michael danced or performed, 

It was his way of showing and expressing his love, 

for all of humanity.

Because he felt that all of humanity needs love, 

despite the fact that he never got much love as a child.


He did some childish things, 

that society did not accept, understood, and even rejected.

They brought him before Pilate on charges of wrongdoing.

But he was found innocent of all charges!

An yet some of his accusers 

would not accept the decision of the court.

And continued to ridicule him, 

every time they got the chance to do so.

But that did not affect his love for all.

Those negative aspersions, did not prevent his success, 

did not cause his fans to resent him either.

In fact, if has helped to consolidate his love 

for, and from his fans even more that before his trial!


Rest in Peace my Friend, my Idol, and my Brother,

You have labored hard and untiring,

And it is now your turn to relax, 

Put your Feet up, and Smell the Roses,

in PEACE.

How Does An Agenda Develop Between Two States?

I suspect that if or when the governments of two states decides to establish or re-establish relations with each other, the following methods are pursued.

* The Foreign Ministers or Ambassadors prepare a draft of proposals to be discussed.

* Each Foreign Minister or Ambassador with the permission and agreement of their respective government, meet with each other to compare and contrast each other's proposals.

* And in the process, comes up with a mutually agreed set of topics, that would comprised the agenda between the two political leaders.

* When this final document/agenda is approved by each party, then the preparations for the summit or face to face meeting is arranged.

This I presume will be the strategy between the Obama administration and the Iranian administration, if or when they eventually agree to meet at the presidential level.

Michael Jackson's Skin Color & Black Americans!

There has always been concern within the Black American communities about the skin tone of Michael Jackson, some years when he went solo. Rumor had it that he was suffering from some genetic disease, others said he did some intravenous surgery that altered his skin color, others also said that he was guilty of his Black ethnicity, and wanted to look more European, for whatever reasons.

However, be that as it may, Black Americans publicly distanced themselves (in the main), whenever they were asked about some of Michael's cosmetic changes and behavior. Some even said that they were unable to tell what ethnic group to associate him with, because he was once Black, during the days when he sang with his other four brothers. But today, meaning (before he died), he looks more White than Black. 

And that embarrassed most Black Americans!

So why the sudden identification and association with Michael Jackson?

Black Americans have a penchant for forgiving their fellows after some period of embarrassment or misdemeanor. They do so with athletes, entertainers, and even felons. This seems to be the way they assert themselves politically and culturally as a minority in this culture, where they are still being socially and economically oppressed. 

Just after his sudden death, Rev.Al Sharpton said publicly how much Michael contributed to the Civil Rights movement, when most of his fellow Black Americans chose to be silent or not get involved in the movement, and for his contribution (according to him), Black America will be forever grateful.

However, Michael Jackson and his other four brothers came into mainstream America like a lighting bolt. They were phenomenal in the way they sang, impacted youths, and performed wherever they went. They were able to crossover all ethnic groups with their music and performances. So when Michael chose to separate himself from his brothers, and do solo gigs, to the point of being the world's
most admired, sought after, and listened to Pop Artiste. 

Blacks in America had something and someone they were very proud of. 

So despite his personal troubles, antics, and eccentricities, Michael Jackson was one of Black America's icons. 

And will forever be so in the hearts of all ethnicity worldwide!

The Public Option Health Care Provider & What Is Means!

Hithero, most consumers sought a Health Care provider according to their financial means. Those who had the means got the best services, from the best Health Care Providers.

And those that could not afford the better ones had to settle for the sub standard providers, which did not provide for most of the needs, that most consumers wanted from their doctors/physicians.

How will the Public Option Work?

The Public Option gives those who do not have Health Care the option to have one. 

It also allows consumers the CHOICE between the Established providers, and the Federally Subsidized Provider/Plans.

Both Health Care plans would be providing for the health Care needs of any American that wants it. 

The only difference is that we would be getting to choose between the Public Option, and The Private Option.

If anyone does not want Healthcare for whatever reason, he/she has that option too also.

But the provision is there for all, if or when they so choose to get Health Care.

Racial Profiling In France!

France has a national philosophy that says 'we are a color blind society This ideal or concept contradicts the reality on the ground in France, for the following reasons.

* If you are a Black, Arab, Caribbean native, or Non White male, chances are, you would be stopped and frisked or asked for identity papers on the streets by the Police in France.

This is the current reality, and is has been so for decades.

France as far as I am aware, does not keep a record of Racial Profiling by the Police in any region or province, to validate these accusations. But thousands of individuals have complained that they were frisked or asked to show identity papers just because they were non-White, even though they did nothing wrong or broke any laws.  

This Police Profiling is something that is taken for granted by those who indulge in it, because they claim that certain crimes are evident within certain communities. Especially the Arab, Black, and Immigrant communities.

But I say that this is just another stereotype that has been allowed to fester for decades, without challenge from the political establishment. Probably because those that are profiled by the Police does not have the political clout to create a national outcry, or embarrass the status quo.

Until the French people and their government legislate for the social protection of those who are not French by nationality. And provide Legislation that penalizes any Policeman for arresting or harassing any Non White, just because he was perceived as a criminal. 

This will continue to plague Communities Of Color in France on a daily basis.

The Wars Of The Future Are Cyber Wars!

Today global communication is conducted primarily via computer technology and Internet accessing. The computer has become the modus operandi for us to communicate with each other on a global scale, hitherto unheard of. 

Our military systems are also dependent on this technology to operate missiles, launch missiles, launch satellites, and launch directives or cods that will send drones, or warheads towards an enemy thousands of miles away, that is unseen.

The ability to hack into military systems, or law enforcement systems, or National Security Systems are VERY REAL indeed, with expert computer hackers. Some of which do so for a fee, others to interrupt or sabotage, others to brag about.

This reality is the concern or most or all governments worldwide, and are being contemplated on with their own defense systems manned by officially conscripted hackers to work for the state, to guard or prevent their individual systems from being sabotaged or compromised by hackers.

So How Could We Avoid Any Major Catastrophe?

There have been some state to state hacking already, and the victimized states are already known. But hacking into computers worldwide is being done on a daily, and hourly basis. So those governments that are seriously bent of protecting their security networks or systems, MUST endeavor to implement certain technological changes and Fire Walls, to prevent sophisticated hacking into their systems. 

And this will naturally cost large sums of revenue to pay for the know how, the recruits, and systems to build, develop, and monitor. 

But it has to be done!

Suspicions Abound About Michael Jackson's True Cause Of Death?

At this point in time, according to the Coroner that attended to his corpse, there was not physical signs that would indicate any suspicious or criminal reason behind Michael's death.

However, some pathological tests, (which may include tissue samples, blood, and other body fluids) will have to be taken, and analyzed for other reasons, or prognoses.

This may take some days or weeks to manifest.

However, the doctor (who supposedly was Michael's personal physician), is missing. And the LA Police wants to meet with him for questioning.

Now why did this doctor disappear?

And why did this doctor leave the scene before the Paramedics arrived?

And why did the doctor not sign or validate Michael's death before he left the premises or Michael's home?

These are serious questions that need to be answered by this missing Physician.

Furthermore, this doctor seem to have a history of personal financial problems. And may be culpable for any misgivings that might result from this investigation.

However, only time will reveal the gravity of it all!

In Perspective:

Michael Jackson was an entertainer and an icon for millions of fans globally, from all walks of life, and all age and ethnic groups.

He was a genius with a creativity singular to him only. He art, performances, entertainment, and stage drags, will be remembered by all those who have seen him perform personally, and have listened to his music, and seen him on television.

Dear Senator/Congressperson,

  Can I depend on you to ardently advocate for, and support the president's Proposed Health Care Plan as I do?

Listed hereunder, are some points that I have outlined, which (to my mind), needs special attention.


* Ensure that SINGLE PAYER representation are at the table during these discussions.

* Ensure that all doctors in general practice are paid relatively equal, regardless of whether he/she is attending to a patient with Medicaid or Medicare insurance.

* Ensure that all patients have the option to choose their own preferred Hospital/Primary Care Physician.

* Ensure that all patients have access to Dental Care (fillings, extractions, cleaning/oral hygiene, and capping loose or missing fillings).

* Ensure that all patients have access to pain management, massage therapy, drug and substance abuse counseling, medication adherence counseling, and blood tests (including HIV Viral Load monitoring).

* Ensure access to maternity care, pre-natal care, post-natal care, pre-abortion counseling, and post abortion counseling.

* Ensure that all doctors accept all patients that are insured or not insured, as a humanitarian gesture, and not simply an emergency consultation, with a prescription issued that the patient cannot afford to fill.

FINALLY:

Health Care is not something that has to be considered, or encouraged.

Health Care is something that ALL societies in this modern era MUST provide for EVERY citizen!

And may also allow them to not be so impacted as much as they are currently, if or when there is another global financial scam/crisis, their dependency upon the US dollar will be less severe.

It is hoped that at some time in the future, a global Super Currency may be introduced, alongside the US dollar, in order for states to have another means to ensure financial stability and security, should another financial crisis like the one we see currently arise.

It was Bill Clinton who introduced the law that penalizes so called Errant or Dead Beat fathers, who became errant in their Child Support payments.

Such individuals could be arrested, charged, arraigned, found guilty (most times) by a Judge, fined and sentenced to serve time in prison.
Thanks to Bill Clinton!

Now with this global economic/scam currently, most regular errants will fail again to pay these payments.

But will the mothers pursue legal action to recoup the payments via the courts?

Blacks and Latino fathers are mostly in this category, because they are most likely to be regularly un-employed, not employed, incarcerated, and prone to layoffs.

What Does Freedom & Democracy Mean To Iranians?

Sometimes I ask myself if those of us outside of Iran, or the middle Eastern countries truly understand how democracy and freedom is perceived and is expected to be practiced in those countries. And because of the different perceptions and practices of democracy in the East and West, we sometimes feel that we can make statements on it at anytime, feeling that there is a commonly understood concept of democratic governance in all cultures. Which is certainly not so!

However, as I see it, the outpouring of youths, and women in large numbers against the perceived rigging of this election results, says to me that their must be a perception from the opposition's supporters and voters that something unfair or illegal was done, in order to get the current result or winner of this election.

The Women and most Young people who participated in this election had expectations for equal rights, freedom of expression, freedom of the Internet, the local media, and freedom to peacefully agitate for changes, without being harassed by the security agencies or Police, or incarcerated for so doing. And the opposing contender seem to have garnered the support of mostly young people and women, who genuinely believed that their representative, if elected will address these issues and concerns.

Even though both political contenders swore allegiance to the Supreme Ayatollah, and the Islamic State, before they were allowed to contend for the presidency. And even if the losing side had won this election, it would not have prevented the Supreme Ayatollah from intervening in the government anytime he perceives that his conservative position was under threat.

So what happens after the recount?

If after a recount is done, and Achmedinajad is still the winner, the opposition will have to abide by the result of this recount. And his supporters will probably go along with it too in sorrow. But I hope that the struggle will never cease or die in frustration. But that the youths and women generally, will continue to agitate for these issues to be addressed by their government, for the freedom to express their fears, anger, and expectations peacefully, in the future.

In fact, most people prefer to see these graphic pictures for themselves, because it helps to bring perspective to that situation.

We are not WHIMPS, and would not CRINGE at the sight of some spilled blood!.

The Malawi Supreme Court Grants Madonna Adoption Of Another Child!


The Supreme Court in Malawi has granted Madonna legal permission to adopt another one of their orphans. The court maintained that she is rich, and that alone qualifies her to adequately take care of the child.

But what bothers me is that the court seem not too interested, in how this adoption will affect that child when he/she becomes an adolescent or an adult. With no ethnic mother or father role model, no cultural identity that he/she could psychologically identify with.

And like Blacks who were brought to America, The Caribbean, Central and South America, and other parts of the world. that child will just have to make do with his/her new name, and national identity, and become something that his Caucasian adopted mother wants him/her to be.

Some may say that this child is better off with Madonna, than being in any orphanage!

But I say to them all. Ask all or any former orphan that you could find, and hear their views about being better off or not better off with any adopted parent.

Circumcision To An Infant Is A Violation Of His/Her Human Rights!

This procedure done by Jews and Moslems for centuries, may be regarded as necessary for those who are devout Moslems or Jewish. But in keeping with current reality, it is a violation of the infants Human Rights (Plain and Simple).

This procedure also inhibits the sensitivity at the apex or head of the male's penis, to feel any sensation, which is natural and vitally necessary for sexual stimulation/pleasure.

Maybe the original thought behind circumcision was to inhibit the male from sexual feelings or stimulation, which a male would have experienced naturally.

And in any culture that advocates marriage before sexual encounter, I can see how that rationale begun, and is practiced universally within the Moslem and Jewish communities.

The Chinese are doing great work in several African countries. Their skills are sought after in any package deal that is required by many African states, in their development objectives.

But what I find striking is the day to day relations between Africans and Chinese representatives in ,most situations where the Chinese are engaged, even in the UN Peace Keeping Corps.

The Chinese tend to prefer being in charge in most instances, supervised by their own people, recreate with their own people, and socialize with their own people, wherever they are.

And I ask myself, why?

Is it a cultural phenomenon, or is it Chinese undeclared policy abroad?

Whatever it is, I am very curious about this behavior of the Chinese abroad!

Is it Human Rights under the Islamic Concepts?

Until the new leader is able to define his position on the above, he may just be another pawn to the Absolute Ayatollah's dictates.

With regard to diplomatic relations with the West or the USA. Subtle diplomacy aught to be the policy going forward.

Because if the new leader continues to use aggressive and defamatory rhetoric towards America publicly, then the ability to indulge in positive and constructive diplomatic relations with America may be jeopardized.

And may result in the continued portrayal of both cultures, as cantankerous and not to be trusted or believed.

Internet Access Discontinuation Law Thrown Out Of France Appeal's Court!

The Recording Industry Association of America is taking a dangerous step with its decision to stop suing suspected music sharers and start cutting off their Internet access instead.

This law would have penalized anyone who knowingly downloaded music files or movies illegally.

And anyone who was caught would be Firstly warned via a notice, and Secondly their Internet access would be discontinued.

The Court said Free Internet Access is a Right. And only a judge could decide if or how to penalize anybody for internet use.

Hurray for Free Internet Access, and Free File Sharing on the Internet.

African states that were former colonies have a dilemma of cultural and economic dependence upon their former colonial masters.

Most of these states emerged as dictatorships, with the socio-political systems centered around the leader of the new independent country. Outsiders see these new and independent former colonies in Africa as free states, and feels that on the surface the national economy and political leadership have the approval of the national commonweal.

But in most cases the elected or appointed leadership are illegal, dictatorial, and are centered upon the personality of the leader, ruling elite, or ruling class.

The various ethnic groups within are at the mercy of the ruling elite, with mass unemployment, illiteracy, corruption in all places, and sometimes ethnic violence from those who feel victimized or totally left out of the political and economic process and benefits therein.

So who will emerge as Gabon's Leader?

Naturally, this country was ruled by Bongo's family for decades. And most of his ministers are family members too. Omar Bongo owns over 33 homes in France, most of which were acquired through 'kick back' deals with businessmen.

Therefore, it stands to reason that the new leader will be a family member, after the interim Prime Minister calls for an election.

And from which will emerge another victorious Bongo member, because the election machinery was and is in the hands of that family for decades, with an apposition that was made null and void.

Released Algerian Citizen To France-Spoke Out On France TV!

The recently released Algerian citizen who served seven years in Gyantanamo Bay Prison, as a suspected terrorist spoke out on French Television (france24.com) today. He said that he was not a terrorist or any sort, nor has he done anything that would be considered terrorism. His inhumane experience in that American Concentration Camp at Gyantanamo Bay, was a testament to the horrors of it's inmates, many of whom were merely picked up in haste, to get victims for the authorities's revenge mentality from foreign lands.

That is basically the bottom line of his remarks!

Now this man's personal identity papers were never returned to him, and his prospects for any kind of positive future is severely impaired. How this man is going to provide for his wife and family, is anyone's guess.

His internment at Gyantanamo should make anyone with a conscience for Human Rights, Justice Under The Law, and Respect For Human Dignity, strive even harder to ensure that this facility is permanently closed, and all of it's inmates given Habeas Corpus in a recognized Court Of Law.

Child Custody Varies From Country To Country!

It is quite natural and possibly very easy to get married in a foreign country.

But it is quite a different matter to get divorced, and gain child access and custody in that country!

This question I have recently pondered very deeply. And here is my take on it:

* Firstly, for these two political and religiously influenced organizations to gain mainstream support in their respective territories. They have to be more inclusive of all ethnic groups, religious affiliations, and females too.

* Secondly, these organizations MUST try to show that they are not totally male dominated or oriented, by using women in some aspects of their political discourses and frontline activities.

* Thirdly, they MUST indicate their support of women's issues like freedom to vote, hold political office, and the choice to wear or not to wear the head scarf.

* Fourthly, freedom of women to seek divorce if the marriage is compromised (by any party), for infidelity, or some other unlawful means.

* Fifth, freedom of the Press, the Media, The Internet, and to demonstrate peacefully, for or against the political administration in power.

* Sixth, to declare that Israel has the right to their sovereignty, and the Palestinians have the right also to self determination, and eventually their own sovereign state.

With these accommodations publicly declared and incorporated into their mandate and policies, I believe that Christians and Non Moslems, will be more inclined to pay attention or support Hezbullah and HAMAS, as their political representatives.

President Omar Bongo Of Gabon Has Died!

President Omar Bongo of Gabon, has died after (43 years, in a One Party State). He was 73 years of age, after a long illness. This man ruled for four decades over people who never knew of any alternative, or had no other choice for another leader to emerge or encouraged.

Because he stiffled and snuffed out all opposition via the election apparatus, everytime an election is allowed to happen.

President Bongo never took a vacation for all of his 43 years in office, for fear that he may lose his position. That is what happens when any dictator takes office illegally.

They have to live in perpetual fear for their life and position. Seventy three percent of his people live in abject poverty, while he enriched himself from the country's coffers with millions illegally.

Ironically, in Africa power is sought through the majority vote. If a tribe is the majority in any state, it is a foregone conclusion that they must be the rulers of that state of government.

The concept of proportional representation does not apply in Africa's politics period!

He was one of Africa's longest serving leaders.

Tobacco Companies Are Dumping Their Cigarettes In Africa & The Americas!

The tobacco companies are targeting South, Central America, and Africa to sell their evil and detrimental drug called cigarettes. And the governments in these countries are doing nothing to prevent their populations from contracting cancer, and all the other maladies that cigarette smoking brings.

This is a crisis of enormous proportions for People Of Color worldwide. And some stringent advocacy MUST be pursued, to embarrass and call out all those country's governments that disregard this crisis, just to accommodate the tobacco companies within their borders.


Mogadishu Is In Rapid Decay!

Currently, even the president is under siege. He has no Army, his police Force is very small, and they only try to protect the areas close to the palace. The OAU or African forces there (though very small), is all that he can depend on for protection, and to maintain some semblance of peace within.

The general population are also under siege by it's own people, many of whom are terrorists. They spy on each other, and they dress alike, so there is no insignias, uniform, or any other physical sign to distinguish these terrorists from the others. So nobody trusts anyone any more, not even your own family or relatives.

That is how dire the situation there is presently. And the African states will not send anymore of their troops, for fear that they too will be killed en masse. In this socio-political climate, hope is absent among these people.

And trying to survive from day to day, is the quest of all those who are still live in the city, because they cannot leave, or have no where else to go.

Paying One Hundred Dollars For A Meal!

I have found some so-called charities that engage in charitable fund raising activities that makes me cringe.

For example, some charities sponsor a dinner, asking attendees to pay one hundred dollars to attend. No entrance fee, only the one hundred dollars required towards that one meal. And they say that is your contribution towards that charitable cause.

This kind of interpretation bothers me dearly. Because to my mind, asking for one hundred dollars for one meal, that may be priced at 20 or 30 dollars at a restaurant, is a SCAM, and is un-cool.

I would rather give voluntarily one hundred dollars towards a charity of my choice, than be conned into paying the same for a meal at some so-called charitable event!

It has been, and will always be a problem for Bloggers and concerned citizens in China to communicate with the outside world online, if they are continually blocked of prevented from so doing.

So here is my plan to assist those who really want to make a contribution to social justice and free press.

* Find English Speaking Chinese youth, who are politically astute, aware, and concerned about the social political climate in China, to send their Blogs or commentaries to someone here in the USA, or in Europe, that has un-impaired access to the Internet.

* It is also IMPERATIVE that both parties communicate in languages that both could write, and understand fully.

* So when a Blogger or Citizen contact in China, Burma, or any other restricted region wants to relay his or her experiences or observation (in real time), can do so directly to his or her contact in the USA, Europe, etc
via E-mail.

* And the contact on the receiving end will copy and paste same in English, Spanish, French, or any other language that is necessary, and forward it to his or her contacts to spread the word.

What is surveillance technology?

This is a concept that is being used currently around the world. Mostly by private enterprise, to monitor consumer behavior in stores, on the streets, and other areas of interest.

Governments with the help of private technologists have developed, and are constantly developing technology for surveillance of their citizenry.

This is done in China, Burma, India, the UK, The USA, Germany, Russia, the EU, and everywhere around the globe, where it is felt that the people must be monitored. Especially where there are terrorist activities.

However, in light of the current terrorist activities in the political arena, globally, technology for surveillance purposes are constantly being improved and tweaked to provide for specific needs of clients. Be it government or private enterprise.

So the next time you see that commercial bill board in lights, it may be monitoring you as you pass by and stare at it, because of it's lure. And you may never be aware that it is monitoring your interest in it.

This type of technology also infringes upon the commonweal's privacy in public places. Because if the citizenry is constantly being watched every way he or she goes in public. Then who is to stop the state from arresting anyone they feel, if he or she fits a certain profile or behaves according to certain observations on record.

This is very disconcerting for those of us who believe that the any state or private enterprise, that indulges in such activities must be stringently controlled, less we all find ourselves pawns or targets, for the state's covert actions or designs!

Brazilian Commercial Plane Disappeared Over The Atlantic Ocean!

A Brazilian commercial plane with 226 passengers disappeared from radar over the Atlantic ocean, en route to Paris.

Personally, I believe that this plane crashed into the sea. Possibly a nose dive under the ocean.

A search and rescue is underway by Brazilian and French authorities.

When an aircraft goes down in the sea, it goes immediately under. The doors cannot be opened under there.. So all passengers will ultimately be drowned!

All 226 passengers will be screaming for life, while the water gradually engulfed the entire interior of the plane, until they drowned.

Say goodbye to them all.

Because the possibility of rescuing anyone alive, is extremely slim!

General Motors Finally Declares Bankruptcy!

GM has finally declared what most Americans feared would become a reality.

However, their sister company in Germany was able to prevent that, by allowing the Russian governments 35% shares contribution, a private car manufacturer in Russia bought 30% in shares, GM of Germany bought 25% shares bought, and the employees bought 10% in shares, thus saving the OPEL car model of over a 100 years from bankruptcy.

How GM here in America will eventually emerge after this bankruptcy is eventually reconciled, is anyone's guess..

However, GM will be smaller, hopefully more modern, healthier, and is good shape to compete with other car manufacturers of this century globally!
