Senators White House Announcement On Immigration Deal-2007?

Attention:

These new proposals does not take into account the P.R.U.C.O.L or un-documented residents, many of whom are HIV infected and accessing Medicaid, and other much needed medication to help us cope with the HIV virus.

Plus, if they are supposed to pay $5,000 US dollars (as indicated in these proposals). Where are they going to get that money from, if they are not allowed to work LEGALLY, and is solely dependent on Public Assistance and Housing Facilities from the City and State?

These are the concerns that I feel must be addressed urgently, and clarified in any future amendments to the current proposals that are on the table, by Advocates and The US House representatives alike.

WASHINGTON - The White House and key senators in both parties announced agreement Thursday on an immigration overhaul that would grant quick legal status to millions of illegal immigrants already in the U.S. It would also fortify the border.
Immigration reform:

President Bush said the proposal would "help enforce our borders but equally importantly, it’ll treat people with respect." "This is a bill where people who live here in our country will be treated without amnesty but without animosity," Bush said. The compromise came after weeks of closed-door negotiations that brought the most liberal Democrats and the most conservative Republicans on immigration issues together with Bush’s Cabinet officers to produce a highly complex measure that carries heavy political consequences. It still faces a long legislative struggle and its passage by the Senate or House is far from assured.

The plan would create a temporary worker program to bring new arrivals to the U.S and a separate program to cover agricultural workers. Skills and education level would for the first time be weighted more heavily than family connections in deciding whether immigrants should get permanent legal status. New high-tech employment verification measures would make sure that workers are here legally. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts, his party’s lead negotiator on the deal, hailed it as "the best possible chance we will have in years to secure our borders and bring millions of people out of the shadows and into the sunshine of America."

Anticipating criticism from conservatives, Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said, "It is not amnesty. This will restore the rule of law." The accord sets the stage for what promises to be a bruising battle next week in the Senate. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., called the proposal a "starting point" for that debate and said the measure needs improvement. "I have serious concerns about some aspects of this proposal, including the structure of the temporary worker program and undue limitations on family immigration," Reid said in a statement.
The breakthrough came when negotiators struck a bargain on a so-called "point system" that prioritizes immigrants’ education and skill level over family connections in deciding how to award green cards.

The immigration issue also divides both parties in the House, which isn’t expected to act unless the
Senate passes a bill first.

The proposed agreement would allow illegal immigrants to come forward and obtain a "Z visa" and - after paying fees and a $5,000 fine - ultimately get on track for permanent residency, which could take between eight and 13 years. Heads of household would have to return to their home countries first.

They could come forward right away to claim a probationary card that would let them live and work legally in the U.S., but could not begin the path to permanent residency or citizenship until border security improvements and the high-tech worker identification program were completed.

A new temporary guest worker program would also have to wait until those so-called "triggers" had been activated. Those workers would have to return home after work stints of two years, with little opportunity to gain permanent legal status or ever become U.S. citizens. They could renew their guest worker visas twice, but would be required to leave for a year in between each time.

Democrats had pressed instead for guest workers to be permitted to stay and work indefinitely in the U.S. In perhaps the most hotly debated change, the proposed plan would shift from an immigration system primarily weighted toward family ties toward one with preferences for people with advanced degrees and sophisticated skills. Republicans have long sought such revisions, which they say are needed to end "chain migration" that harms the economy, while some Democrats and liberal groups say it’s an unfair system that rips families apart.

Family connections alone would no longer be enough to qualify for a green card - except for spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens.
New limits would apply to U.S. citizens seeking to bring foreign-born parents into the country.

When To Intervene-Or Not Intervene In Your Neighbor's Business?

OVERVIEW:
Crimes Against Humanity-Non-interference in your neighbors affairs, for fear of harming the relationship between yourselves. Racist Agendas-Religious Agendas & Self-righteousness, are all on the rise globally!

There was a time not too long ago when rational thinkers, good natured people, high moral thinkers, and peace loving nations and peoples, got involved when they saw their friends, neighbors, and fellow humans were being de-humanized, killed en-masse, slaughtered, or enslaved. That was the time when the world behaved like humans are supposed to.

When the world had a soul. A soul that abhorred EVIL of any kind, a soul that did not care for one's political, religions, or ethnic affiliations. But a soul that felt it had to act via the militarily, to halt, or prevent the continuous slaughter or displacement of fellow humans.

This phenomenon showed itself no too distantly during World War-11. Nations took up arms, and collectively assaulted those whom it felt, have an apocalyptic agenda for other humans they felt did not belong on this planet, or other nations they felt had no history, culture, or ethnic relevance. Yes, the NAZI regime was such an EVIL that had to be eradicated.

But something went terribly wrong with these so-called Christian nations and peoples, who took no action when the genocide in Rwanda was being carried out. Even it's African neighbors took no action, because they did not want to intervene in the affairs of their neighbors, which might have caused diplomatic friction between them. So they did absolutely nothing, and thousands of fellow Africans were slaughtered by fellow Africans in that experience.

The same was done in Uganda with Idi Amin (the Dictator), who killed en-masse those he did not care to have live among the chosen peoples of that land, and in keeping with a chosen and ethnic agenda.

Mogadishu today is experiencing the same no-interference by the HYPOCRITICAL OAU (Organization Of African Unity), that is not doing anything to stop the officially mandated and clandestinely planned killing, raping, and displacement of thousands of fellow Africans in that country. With a sparse, ill-prepared and equipped symbolic African Peace Keeping Force, which cannot intervene to arrest, or stop anyone from killing fellow Africans.

Least of all, bring that government or killers to justice. So the killing, raping, starvation, and displacement of thousands, are being allowed to continue in Darfur-Sudan.

In Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, once called the (most feared African leader) is carrying out the very same things above mentioned, while the world watches, but does NOTHING. The neighbor South Africa, once a part of Zimbabwe, is also just talking ( so they say), to Robert Mugabe, but will not intervene either to stop the starvation, killings, beatings of dissenters or politicians who want change in that rapidly, economically, and morally degrading political system and country.

So the killings, beatings, displacement of thousands who lost their homes, cannot eat food on a regular basis, and is being starved to death, while the world watches, talks about it sometimes, but does nothing to help.

In the USA, these so-called Christian minded peoples are still debating who has the Right to Life, Right to make a choice to keep or not to keep a fetus, who are more moral and who are not, and what is considered Global warming, and what is perceived as God telling all humanity how BAD they have become.

YES, these so-called Christian rightists and leftists, are still having their childish political and religious ramblings, and debates on trifles, while the more important, Moral, and HUMANE issues are being IGNORE on this planet.

Their Moslems religious believers and fanatic followers of a Quran that has thousands of INTERPRETERS, who feel they too have a mandate for believers, and the right to issues FATWAHS or EDICTS when they too feel that Islam is being threatened, or when fellow Moslems fail to comply with their wishes, or when a foreigner or INFEDEL steps on their so-called lands.

Yes, international ignorance has taken on a life of its' own, that hitherto, was only seen as peculiar to certain regions, or peoples. Global Ignorance, Hate, Prejudices, and Murder, seem to be the preferred methods to REASON, Compromise, and healthy discussions today.

I shudder to think that should this trend continue in this manner, REAL ARMAGEDDON will surely happen. With no Racial, Ethnic, or Religious preferences for anyone!

HIV-LOVE-SEX And LIFE Issues!

Having HIV-Love & Life Problems!

Firstly, there was a slogan that says. "HIV Stops With Me.' This was another one of those ridiculous slogans that some HIV/AIDS organization came up with, in order to provide services for Communities Of Color!

But what bothers me is not the intent to target those who are most at risk for infection, but the pre-sumption that this slogan has for those who are HIV positive. It infers that HIV positive people have a responsibility to not spread the HIV virus, and by so doing this HIV virus will somehow disappear or become less of a social pandemic.

This idea is laughable for simply for the following reasons:
* HIV infection occurs when two or more persons indulge in some form of sexual intercourse, foreplay, or body contact, where BODY FLUIDS are exchanged between the parties.

* It is not my or anyone's responsibility ONLY, to protect himself or herself from HIV infection, or any other STD or STI's.

* And to tell the HIV infected that it is their responsibility to ensure the virus does not spread, implies that they are still seen as the ones' who are socially suspect for willfully infecting others with HIV.

* Even though some HIV infected persons, knowingly or un-knowingly infect others with the virus.

It is every individuals' responsibility (if he or she is sexually active), to use preventative methods for HIV or other STD infections.

HIV-Sex & Love:

This will always be an issue with those who are HIV positive to grapple with, in terms of partnerships, love, or long term relationships. It is still very difficult for HIV positive individuals to declare to a stranger up front or before any physical sexual contact, that he or she has the HIV virus. Even though HERPES, Hepatitis A-B-C- & D are also possible in any sexual encounter. But most people do not think about those other STIs' or STDs' when they are about to have sexual contact with another person.

Childbirth Problems:

We now have prophylactic medications to give potential mothers who want children, but are HIV positive. And this preventative measure (if followed diligently, and with a physician's guidance), could prevent the un-born child from contracting HIV.

So potential parents or mothers and fathers, should not feel that they are 'Spoiled Goods.' just because they have HIV.

Love, Sex, and Relationships are still being contracted, and sought after, regardless of the HIV pandemic. After all, population growth, and future leaders are expected to come from parents who are HIV positive too. And the virus will not prevent this from happening in cultures that have access to the medications, and are affordable enough for the infected to access, and live their lives as they would hope to do without HIV.

Obesity & The Social Ridicule It Attracts!

Tonight on WLIW.org, I witnessed a documentary about the social stigma that surrounds obesity within our society. And the in-surmountable efforts that most obese persons have to overcome in order to control, maintain or keep off the extra pounds from developing within their bodies.

I also learned that if you were obese as a child, and continued to be obese into adulthood. Removing the extra weight off at that stage in your life is almost impossible. Because psychologically, your brain and mentality have become accustomed to dealing with a plump or fat child. So asking it to re-adjust in adulthood to not telling you to keep that weight on, is almost impossible for the brain to reconcile.

I also learned that most people who take weight loss programs such as rigorous exercise at the GYM, or physical fitness of every sort, will eventually lose some weight. But will be unable to keep it off indefinitely, regardless of how discipline they are or try to be, with their individual nutrition or diet.

And contemplating surgery is also an option for the severely obese to remember, when all other options have failed. Even though this option has its' risks. But with the advice from a knowledgeable physician who has been seeing you on a regular basis, and is familiar with your family and genetic history, his or her guidance in this regard, ought to give you some hope, or alleviate some of the fears that precedes the decision to take this operation.

Why Is Obesity So Repulsive To So Many People?

We live in a society that relishes or reveres slimness, or the slim body. Our Hollywood actors or stars are mostly very slim or athletic in physique. Our fashion magazines, models, and entertainment personalities all emulate this mode of physical appearance.

And slimness have become the national ideal or preferred type of body that is considered sexy, appealing, and mainstream. Even though a very large percentage of Americans or people living in The USA are obese or over weight. If you ask any obese or fat person to tell you how often they encounter ridicule about their weight. Most will say on a daily basis.

They either hear comments about it verbally, or personally told to their faces that they should lose weight, or that they are ridiculously fat.
And this can be very hurtful to the person being told this. And may cause most of them to feel inferior, not accepted, unable to marry, have children, or a lover.

Solutions:

* Some solutions I feel will help obese people (adults and children alike), is to get involved in programs that facilitate discussion or give nutritional advice, and how the family could help remedy some of these problems.

* With proper nutritional guidance, help in understanding the mental and psychological state of obesity, and its' affect on different individuals.

* And how obesity is an individual malady, that must be dealt with individually.

Egyptian Mythology-The Book Of The Dead:

Egyptian Mythology-The Book Of The Dead!

Do you know that in the Book Of the Dead, an ancient Egyptian scroll accompanies the Pharaoh and noblemen in their coffins, to assist the spirits of those dead souls to meander their way towards the Egyptian Supreme God 'RAH.'

These trials in the underworld are enormous, according to the Book Of the Dead. Some trails indicate the following procedures.

There are several tests mentioned in the Book Of the Dead that said, the soul had to answer many questions, if it answered correctly, the soul would proceed further to the destination of reaching Rah ( The Sun God).
However, those who failed, would be thrown into the hell fires and never return to occupy another body in the future.

For example, here are two such scenarios.

* The soul on it's journey in the underworld would encounter a fierce monster that looked like a HUGE crocodile. This monster is called "The Breaker Of Bones." If the soul answered the question put to it correctly, hit would be allowed to go on further. If it failed to answer the question correctly, it would be swallowed up by this monster.

* Then there is another creature that would be encountered in the underworld, that was referred to as "The Swallower Of Spirits." If the soul failed to answer this creature's question correctly, the soul would be swallowed up by this creature.

CONCLUSION:

* How on earth could a soul's bones be broken? Souls are invisible, intangible, and does not have a physical body, as we understand it, in our physical environment. So how could that soul's bones be broken?

* Secondly, how could a soul be swallowed by another? That possibly would imply, that a soul have physical desires, and is able to do what physical beings can do. So that scenario is also ridiculous.

These are just two of the preposterous concepts in Egyptian mythology, that was believed, and practiced for centuries. Long before Christianity, Islam, and most of the religious philosophies were conceived of.

And this kind of Egyptian thinking and belief, was the criteria that held that civilization together for centuries, that allowed for the creation of Pyramids, Agriculture, Egyptian Art, Mummifying of the dead, and the Rule over many nations and peoples, long before the Greeks came into prominence, the Romans, the Persians, and Arabia was ever civilized.

Older Gay & Homosexual Men-Shoud Be Nurturers-Not Exploiters:

Older Gay & Homosexual Men Should Be NURTURERS-Not EXPLOITERS!


I recall as a younger Homosexual male in Guyana, most older Openly Gay Homosexual men were the ones who allowed us Younger Gay and Homosexual men into their homes for parties. Arranged partners (most of the times), at these parties, and was the venue for which most young or adolescent Gay and openly Gay men met, made friends, buddies, partners and lovers alike.

Yes, it was the Older Gay men who told us how to be careful with our lives, our sexual partners, our health, and our CHOICES in men too.
It was the older openly Gay men, who was able to afford apartments, or had their own homes for us to meet, have conversations about Gay life and life-styles, debate what was happening to some of us who were careless with out social, sexual, and other behaviors in the neighborhood.

It was mostly the Older Gay men who accompanied us to concerts, the theaters, and the bars to socialize, or drink.

There were some Older Gay men who exploited some of us for sex. And these were very few. And when we knew about any blatant exploitation, those of us who felt responsible enough to the community, told others about them, and cautioned us to be careful when dealing with such 'PERSONS."

These Older Gay men felt it was their responsibility to help us chart our lives as carefully as possible, so long as we gave them permission to do so! And I shall never forget those whom I had the privilege, of getting such irreplaceable mentoring, counseling, and advice, for as long as I live.

These experiences happened to me in the sixties mostly. Back then, I was an adolescent, full of life, raging hormones, and felt that the world was mine to conquer, and that the Gay life was the most beautiful thing that I had encountered. The Stonewall Gay-Drag Queens' riots, was something I never knew about until my advent to the USA in 1989.

All we had back then was the fear of social ridicule, stigma, verbal, and sometimes physical abuse from parents, siblings, and strangers alike. Those were our experiences back then, and still is, to a certain extent today within the Caribbean, Latin American & Central American countries.

However, Gay and Homosexual men here in the USA have had similar or different experiences, but at least they have been able to get laws enacted to protect our Civil and Human Rights. Legislation is still pending in most states to allow for Marriage/Civil unions legally. While in others, these legislation have already been made legal. The political climate is almost favorable to Gay and Homosexual life here in the USA, except for a few states that still cling to their prejudices. And some Religious, and Social/Civic groups that feel it is their divine right to castigate Gays, Lesbians, Tansgender, and Bisexuals within this society.

But overall, Gays, Lesbians, Tansgender, and Bisexuals have a relatively peaceful co-existence within the mainstream of American society.
In certain Asiatic and Moslem countries, it still is the responsibility of Older Homosexual men (mostly undercover), to protect, advise, nurture, and even exploit Gay or Homosexuals there. Because of the extended family system, endemic to those cultures for centuries.

And any political actions for Civil, Human or other rights that Gays or Homosexuals need to Address, must be done very quietly, covertly, or with less public fanfare. For fear of Police brutality, Social castigation, Imprisonment, Beheading, or Death.

CONCLUSION:

I ache with disgust whenever I see Older and not so young openly Gay men verbally abuse younger Gay men, because of their openness, freedom, expressions, and sexual promiscuousness. Some of these Older Gay men have forgotten, or pretend to have forgotten when they were much younger, in demand, in shape, and vociferous too.

Yet they seem to feel that the Younger Openly Gay men (by and large), have it too good. Are not tolerant of them. And is ungrateful for all that the older Gays have fought and died for in the past. So that these freedoms that they the young, seem to take for granted would be here for posterity.

I also despise those older Gay men who are bitter because they are un-happy with their current situation. Lack of a meaningful relationships, Lack of Love, or even Companionship. And I believe it stems from a Careless, Carefree, and Reckless past, that has come back to haunt so many of us Gay or Homosexual men, as we get older in age.

Sometimes we forget the cosmic or spiritual law that binds all humans.

Some call it KARMA, and it simply means the following:

* Whatever action or actions we do now, have their concomitant re-actions later.

* And everyone has to pay for his or her doings in this life, sooner or later. This is called KARMIC LAW:

So let as Older and Younger Gay and Homosexual men make a difference within our individual lives TODAY. For it is never too late to reform our minds, actions, attitudes, beliefs, impressions, and our souls!

What Is TRUE Democracy?

What Is TRUE Democracy?

Democracy is a PROCESS of understanding, tolerance, acceptance of diversity, the right to Free Speech, Writing, Learning, new ideas, and Dissension. All of these elements are inherent in TRUE democracy.

When the populace is not allowed to question authority, religious views or religion, Laws that oppress them, Regulations that impose partisan or prejudicial behaviors or actions against those it disproves of, hates, or feels does not belong to the mainstream.

Then that society is not practicing "DEMOCRACY."

So for those of us who understand what democracy espouses, has the responsibility to speak up, speak often, and speak whenever these values are prevented from flourishing, or from being practiced, or implemented, in any culture that is prepared to embrace it, has started to embrace, or is trying to make it work.

A Terrorist At The University Of Virginia Tech!

University Of Virginia Tech-Campus Killings!

Thirty students killed, and two out of twenty-nine others that were injured by the shooter died subsequently, by a gunman at The University Of Virginia Tech today.

It seems like shortly after the first shooting took place, the campus security and local Police was able to surround the alleged building where the shooting was happening, and everything went quiet. The gunman was not yet identified. So the quiet that followed the quarantine by the campus security personnel, gave the impression to everyone that the gunman or gunmen had left the building or campus already.

But half an hour later they heard shots in another building on the said campus, which surprised everyone, and was now seen as possibly another gunman, or the same gunman killing people, and was still at large. So off the security went to investigate those shooting sounds in the other building, only to find dead people lying around in the dormitory there. And the suspect gunman had already committed suicide himself, and was among the dead there.

All of these shootings happened in a matter of minutes, with about thirty minutes grace period in between them. Any emergency alert will only reach successfully those already in the campus dorms, or living quarters. But those en-route to the campus may not be aware on any emergency right away. Especially if they are not listening to the radio while driving there, or at home listening to the radio or television news at the time any such incident is occurring.

No open university campus could ever create a bona-fide security perimeter, in a situation where thousands of students live off campus, and commutes back in, on a daily basis for classes.

However, the investigation is still in progress by the authorities at this time. It is still to be determined whether the gunman or gunmen were students of that university!

CONCLUSION:

As at April 17-2007, the alledged killer was identified as Cho Seung Hui, a senior student from South Korean parentage. This suspect is believed to have been a loner, who kept to himself most of the time. This was uncovered from interviews taken from persons who knew him from his high school days.

How Could This Have Happened:

Incidences like this are indicative of a trend here in the USA, where young college students have indulged in mass killing of fellow students at several colleges in the past. One wonders if the media's promotion of violent films, movies, and online videos that promote violence as a form of visual stimulation to millions of viewers.

Or the heavy handed Poilice action which can be perceived as barbaric, when trying to arrest or enforce Law & Order in this country. Or the seeming complacency of Americans generally, whenever anyone is killed that is not a member of their family, or does not affect them personally.
Whatever it is, the ROOTS lie deep right here in the American culture.

And most people allow it to fester willingly, un-knowingly, un-consciously, or just feel they have no control or influence in preventing such acts of violence generally!

The Student Terrorist At The University Of Virginia Tech!

WORD-UP:

The Virginia University killer is now seen in a new light. CNBC has obtained a mailed package that reveals some graphic pictures of him, posing like a terrorist in front of his camera, brandishing two guns in his hands, and blaming others for his intended actions.

Should this be an underlying concern for university authorities about potential terrorists within their midst, masquerading as students, but has some hidden agenda, political, social,religious, or institutional.
Whatever totally unfolds from this mailed package, is yet to be fully revealed to the public via the media.

However, I feel that this killer may be an element that is rising or brewing SILENTLY within our institutions of Higher Learning.

IMUS'S Radio Snafu:

Imus was unfortunate to be the one who took the heat for an endemic cultural reality in America. And that is ethnic and racist stereotyping and bashing.

The media was always used as the principal medium for some folks to give voice to their own personal prejudices. Be it political, religious, or ethnic.

The entertainment industry is a case in point. Most of the current Rappers seem to feel that they have 'carte-blanche' rights to belittle women, homosexuals, and fellow ghetto folks, because some of them have been able to acquire the physical things ascribed to 'success or accomplishments' in this society.

The frequent comparison they make about their ability to own things like jewelry, designer clothing, and other material things deemed necessary for any successful American, especially one whose background was from the inner city ghettoes, is the primary focus of their songs and videos too.

Even the Comic entertainers poke fun at certain elements especially women within our society in their shows. Sometimes without the slightest concern for blackmail, or social stigmatization. And this have been the trend for as long as I can recall!

So this current snafu of Imus, is nothing new, but was used by some of those who saw a 'softer target' for expressing a certain political agenda, disguised as genuine concern for decent social morals and values.

Let's Go Fly A Kite!

For those Caribbean Christian peoples, today (SUNDAY) is the day Jesus rose from the dead, and the Eve of the ascension into Heaven, of the Christian messiah Jesus.

And tomorrow Monday, is the day he allegedly ascended into the Heavens!
On this day, in most or all Caribbean countries, we fly kites to symbolically commemorate this ascension. And Oh Boy, we really have a great day celebrating. It is a day when thousands congregate in large open Tree free spaces, promenades, and playing fields, hoping that high winds will be there to assist us all in raising and keeping our multi-colored and multi-styled kites aloft.

Sometimes competitions take place between individuals to see whose kite will ascend the highest. And not to mention the various eatables and food baskets that families take to these places to have a picnic, with friends, neighbors, and anyone willing to be a part of this holiday festivity.

I miss this festivity very much now that I reside in the USA, because back in my homeland Guyana, even if I did not fly a kite. I would just visit the Sea Wall plateau where most people go to fly their kites, in order to get the strongest winds there. The British Marines & Sailors Speak out Today!

Word-UP:

The released British Marines and sailors reported on TV today on BBC.
The following contradictions were observed by me:

* These British marines READ from a prepared document, and did not speak SPONTANEOUSLY to be more convincing!

* They said they were Blindfolded, Bounded with hands behind their backs, and heard the 'cocking' of Iraqi weapons in the environment, which was used to intimidate them. (This sounds feasible enough)!

* The female soldier among them was separated from them for FOUR days, and was told the others were released, as a form of intimidation.

(This is believable, because she is female, and thought to be weaker. And besides in Iran, females are not allowed to sit side by side with their male counterparts).

* Furthermore, these marines and sailors looked very pleasant, sometimes even smiling while eating, and during their appearance on Television too?

* But this pleasantness shown by these marines and sailors on camera, somehow contradicts the view, that they were under STRINGENT DURESS.

* So to willingly smile on camera during this public display, conveys a pleasant environment, without prior or forced coercion to do so!

CONCLUSION:

What we were hearing from the British and the Iran authorities seems to convey, the deliberate attempt to mis-inform its' viewers about the factual nature of that scenario.

Religious Views On SEX & SEXUALITY:

Most religious organizations subscribe to the view that SEX between two people of the opposite gender, is approved by their GOD or ALLAH. As long as the two individuals are married, socially accepted as man and wife, and sanctioned by the Church, Synagogue, Masjids, or Temple.

* But who is qualified or authorized to determine one's sexual preferences, sexual desires, sexual stimulants, and needs?

* And who has the authority to determine what is best for an individual, or two individuals in marriage sexually, in terms of what is the CORRECT or PROPER manner of sexual intercourse?

* And who can adequately determine what is best form, posture, position, or mode of sexual intercourse?

* And who has the right or authority to tell another that he or she MUST not indulge in sexual activities with the same gender?

Conclusion:

As far as I can recall, most religious authorities will say GOD or ALLAH to most of the above. But God or Allah never told me how to have sex, or what kind of sex I should indulge in, or what position sexually is favorable in his/her sight!

And as far as I have read, Jesus never made such statements either!

So why should the Church, Mosque, Masjids, Synagogue, Preachers, Immams, Pastors, Priests, or Nuns, tell me that what I do sexually is wrong or right in God's sight?

Therefore, I decided long ago to go along with my feelings, desires, and needs sexually.

And DAM anyone who think otherwise!

Renown Black American poetess Maya Angelou has attained her 79th birthday today. And may she experience many more birthdays in the future.

I have always been an admirer of Maya's poetry, and other writings on the Afro-American historical experiences. I have not yet read any other poet's work that comes close to the profundity that her writings have portrayed, about the experiences in this Diaspora. And whenever I see her giving an interview on television, or speaking at one of her book signing.

It brings tears to my eyes!

Tears of joy, gratitude, admiration, and love, for this very special and enlightened daughter of an African American. Who with profound humility tells her story with the honesty, love, beauty, and integrity, befitting an historian of great merit.

I humbly wish Maya Angelou radiant health, longevity, and the continued resolve to keep our ancestral memories always relevant, to our changing times and experiences, in this evolving American experience.

The fifteen British marines and sailors were given amnesty from the Iranian government today.

President Ahmadinejad said on television today, that he was sorry the British government was not brave enough to admit that they violated Iranian territorial waters.

However, whatever deal/s were reached to allow for this release, we are not privy to, or may never be privy to.

As for the British arrogance and lack of humility.

That is also indicative of the British character!

When The US & Coalition Forces Leave Iraq-This Is What Will Happen!

Preface:
All societies hitherto went through some form of internal turmoil. Call it Civil War, Civil Insurrection, or Revolution. But they eventually became stabilized, united under one flag, one constitution, and with a national regard for the Rule Of Law.

Iraq currently is experiencing a Civil War. It has moved from a former sectarian strife, to a national Civil War. That is the reality today in that country. Within this situation, several groups emerged venting their individual vendettas or pogroms, on those whom they feel threatened by, or feel must be humiliated, or marginalized.

Then there is the outside element called Al Qaeda, that promotes international terrorism against the western powers and nations, for spreading its' democratic ideology within the Islamic world.

The USA and her allies have spent millions or billions, in order to bring about some form of Democratic political administration in that nation. This was eventually established with the new government consisting of several ethnic and political groups represented therein. However, the National Army, Police Force, and other Internal Security agencies are still to get fully organized as one unit, responsible to one central command.

And with the inability to recruit loyals, all ethnic groups, regardless of their religious beliefs, and prevent in this effort, the vendettas that are being done against each other (Shia & Sunni) elements, continue!

This must be the responsibility of the Iraqi government and its' internal security agencies. So far, this process has been slow, and not very promising. With the current mandate from the US congress to the Iraq people and government to get their house in order soon. Or else the US will begin pulling out their troops very shortly.

This position by the Congress has mixed feelings among Americans and Iraqi's alike. But our position is quite clear. Improve fast, or we will be leaving very soon.

So what happens when most of our troops pull out of Iraq?

The essential services like our Embassy, The Green Zone Housing and Military encampment will still have to be protected, and financed. And our building contractors in the restoration process there would still need to be funded. These responsibilities, I understand will continue to be financed and supported by the congress.

As for peace, instability, and continuous sectarian strife:

This is likely to continue, but will not last forever. Because history has shown us that when warring factions overtime, realize that there is no conceivable end or victory for either side in sight. Then efforts will be made to count the losses, reconcile differences, and work together for a negotiable peace.

This has happened after the American revolution, the Korean war, The Vietnam war, and so many foreign internal conflicts, after lengthy internal strife.

Is Regime Change Possible In IRAN?

First of all, Iran is an Islamic ruled country. And this is also the constitution of that country.

Most Iranians are quite content with the supreme Mullah or Ayatollah, the spiritual leader at the helm, or Head Of State. And this position is also sanctioned by the constitution of that country.

Also Iranians by and large, will accept changes for a gradual secular state, with Islamic Laws as the guiding principles for national morality. But they would also like to have freedom of the Press, the Internet, Public Discourse, Politicking, Freedom of the Radio, and Freedom to agitate for Socio-Political changes too.

So any nation or political leader in any western democracy who would like REGIME change in Iran, must consider all of the above variables, before even contemplating agitating for this change with the Iranians.

Prime Minister Ahmadinejad is not the foremost political power in Iran. He is merely the elected Leader of the Parliament and government there. The Real Power of the state lies in the office of the Supreme Ayatollah.

What Is A Dirty Bomb vs A Clean Bomb?

As far as I understand, they are both destructive, and intended to kill humans. So whoever believes that a dirty bomb is something to be feared, and a clean bomb is all right. They must be SENILE!

Because these bombs were designed for war. And war is about killing humans. And killing humans is the mission of those who are intent on having their way with others, gaining some form of international respect, according to their view. Or for acquiring resources that they need from that state of region, they are so engaged with in war.

Therefore, let no one try to make you believe that dirty bombs are only used, built, or sought after, by terrorists. Because that is a BLATANT lie. Most modern and developed nations have dirty bombs, or would like to acquire some, for their own reasons.

And in so doing, these bombs are supposed to give them some leverage, or security, against perceived or eminent threats from some other nation, terrorist groups, or region.

ATTENTION:

When that Danish cartoonist published a male wearing a SHASH (Arab head scarf), with what looked like a lighted fuse, purported to be a terrorist. This comic figure was interpreted as an insult to the prophet Mohammed. Violence broke out throughout Europe. Followed by demonstrations through the middle east. Now, an artist has published a sculpture of 200 lbs chocolate of Jesus called (sweet Jesus), with his genitals showing.

The Catholic Arch Diocese resents this sculpture as an embarrassment to their saviour.

CONCLUSION:

I have always said, if you are willing to condone FREE expression when it suits you. So long as the expression does not interfere with your religious icons.
Then you must be prepared to ACCEPT free expression when it affects your Icons too!

The pharmaceutical corporation that produces this vaccine does not want any profit from this venture in Africa. And this vaccine will be sold very cheaply locally,a in Africa.

So the questions to follow this now is, WHY AFRICA?

* Why is Africa and Africans to be the first to use this untried vaccine?

* And what about the adverse or side effects (if any), from this vaccine?

* And was there a trial before this vaccine was determined to be safe?

* And if there was a trial or trials, who were the volunteers?

* Were they African men and women, or Europeans?

* And should there be future complications from recipients of this vaccine, would they be compensated by the pharmaceutical corporation providing it?

* Or from the African state that allows its' distribution and application?

These questions need to be addressed, and made internationally known!

Child Labor Produced Chocolates!
BBC reported today that in the Ivory Coast (Africa), children are forced to seek employment in the Cocoa fields, earning at least one dollar a day for that back breaking work.
No industrial injurie's compensation is ever paid to those children, for any work related injuries either. And most of these children are taken out of school, or prevented from going there, in order to earn much need money for their parents.
Efforts are being made via a resolution from the UN, to force the Ivory Coast government to comply, with the international Human Rights Rules pertaining to the abolition of child labor.

How Does A Nation Repent For The Wrongs It Has Done To Others?

For example:

Britain has ruled most of the world for thousands of years, enslaved Blacks, Indians, and other peoples of color for centuries. And has never paid any reparations for their deaths, and degradation.

France has also done similar things, when they were a conquering sea and land grabbing power. And no reparations were given to her victims or countries either. Which were raped of their mineral, human, and cultural resources.
Spain too was a sea power in her time. Enslaved the Americas with her hired plunderers, thieves, and Christian devils. Killed the Incas and Aztec peoples spirits, stole their gold, and forced them into accepting Christianity as their Primary Religion.

Germany under Adolph Hitler said they were the master race, and would rule for a thousand years. They barley made a thousand days, before the were defeated by a coalition of Caucasian cultures countries like themselves.
Britain no longer ruled the waves. And could barely save her Bottom, after the pounding that Hitler's forces gave them at home and abroad.

Then came the advent of The US industrial power machine. Which said in no uncertain terms to Winston Churchill. Role over bloke, and make room for the new Britannia.

And the killing took on a new face, a new protector, and a new frontier!

John Edwards, democratic contender for the presidency in 2008, has a serious situation currently.

His wife has been diagnosed with a very serious cancer! This was being discussed on CNN tonight, about the possibilities of this affecting her husband John, in his campaign, or even if he becomes president
Former president Ronald Reagon's wife Nancy, had cancer in one of her breasts while he was president.

I don't know if this knowledge was known to him, prior to his being elected president. But he had to cope with that reality, like any other husband whose wife had cancer.

So I do not see how this could seriously effect his presidency, if he is elected to that office.

Afterall, he would be the president, not his wife!

Should Sex Education Be Taught In Church?

Tonight on Paula Zahum's show on CNN, I witnessed a clip about a preacher and his wife, telling followers that sex is okay to have. A clip on this subject as it was being delivered by these two individuals was shown, and her two hosts, a Christian male, and female Moslem asked to give their opinion oabout this clip.
The Moslem woman felt that sex education is good, even in a church situation, if people are encouraged to abstain from it until marriage. And that even though it is a natural act, it also has to be indulged in responsibly.

The male Christian felt that the preacher is using this message as a ploy, to lure people to his church. And he does not have a building either to do this work. And he feels that this is only a fad that will pass, like so many others before.
This Christian failed to realize that Jesus never had any building either, when he was conducting his ministry. He used the highways, byways, open pastures, or anywhere that people will listen.

However, they both felt that marriage is the place where sex should be indulged in, and experienced for what it is, even the pleasure aspect.

CONCLUSION:

Incidentally, historically marriage is sanctioned by the church between two people. A male and a female. But it developed legality several centuries later as a necessity, to ensure commitment, legal rights after one party dies, custody rights for the children, property ownership, titles, and other personal belongings of the deceased.

The SEAN Bell Murder Case Grand Jury's Decision-2007!

The Sean Bell Murder By NYC Police Officers & The Grand Jury's Decision!

The Sean Bell Murder Outcome:
* He was shot fifty times by the New York City Police, outside a night club recently.
* The case went before a Grand Jury that pronounced the following verdict:
* Three out of the five Cops were indicted for Manslaughter in The First degree.
* Sixty witnesses appeared before the court to give evidence, (quite unusual), in any realistic jurisprudence.
* Then in the last hour, a Latino witness appeared with supposed eyewitness information.
* This late declaration may have also influenced the jury's decision.
But that is speculative!

New York Police History:

The history of the New York City & State police departments have never indicted police officers with murder. And no Caucasian Police Officer was ever indicted or served imprisonment for any such crime. It seems historically that the NYC Police institution is able to operate or behave in such a manner on the job, that implies impunity to any charges or indictment.

This was evident in the case, (the Haitian national), who was physically abused, sexually violated, and suffered sever internal injuries at the hands of the NYC Police dept. Then the Somali national (Amadou Diallo-1999), who was sot six times at the stoop of his home by the NYC police. And in both cases, these officers got away with this injustice. Even though the evidence in both cases were enormous, and indictable for these cops.
So this Shawn Bell scenario/case is also treated with the same indulgence of Police brutality by the State, and Police Institution.

CONCLUSION:
It is a fact the Police Force or Institution was established historically to protect the rights, property, and interests of the Ruling Classes. In a capitalist environment, the mercantile communities, the political elite, and those in political and economic power positions are treated differently by the Police. Than those who are poor, dis-enfranchised, ignorant of the laws, or illegal.
That has always been the mentality of the Police Institution. So when an individual police officer commits a crime on or off the job. The institution offers him or her all the protection it can muster, frustrates legal representatives from getting prompt evidence or information that could help them in the prosecution process.
And behaves in such a manner that can be interpreted as 'we are above public scrutiny.'
And will do almost anything to protect or withhold evidence, that will incriminate one of their own.

How Do We Caribbean Peoples Extricate Ourselves From Our Mental & Psychological Malaise?

Preface:
I have been seriously thinking about our social & economic reality. And the following thoughts came to mind. And which I am about to share with you.

Historically, the Asian and African peoples were brought to this region as Indentured or Contracted workers, and Slaves. When slavery was abolished in this region, the Indians were still living and tilling those lands that they occupied until then. The Blacks chose to leave these lands, because it reminded them of their terrible past in slavery on those lands. Instead they opted for the cities, and the low wage paying jobs that could be found there.

The Indians were less inclined to do so. Their lives in history were extremely poor, low caste, and disenfranchised. So this new reality, and possibly economic opportunity was something to be grasped. So they stayed on the lands, and in time, with monies accumulated from hard, and personal sacrifice from savings, they were able to purchase plots of land for personal tilling. And selling some of its' produce for personal needs and savings too.

In time, as the political climate and opportunities developed for both groups, the awareness that education was a necessity to gain self respect, social class, and economic opportunities were understood for what it is. The Blacks were already settled in the townships and cities mostly, already had this awareness, and some chose to have their children access these educational advantages. With Primary education as a public necessity and a state mandate. The Blacks were very keen on sending their children to school to get at least a Good Primary Educational foundation.

The Indians (by and large), did not see this need, especially those in the rural or agricultural areas. Because they needed their children to help on the farms and fields they owned or worked. And sending them off to school, would have impacted negatively on their ability to do that work efficiently, productively, and gainfully. So the Indian community was very slow in allowing their children to seek education, because as I said before, that was not an immediate priority.
When the British colonizers eventually left these domains, the cultural and economic void was quite obvious.

So Blacks in the main, benefited from this, along with the imported Chinese, and Portuguese indentures. The privately owned businesses of the Portuguese and Chinese, mostly employed those whose skin color were similar. So only those 'fair skinned' Blacks were given jobs in public view, or with minimal responsibilities. And these Blacks had to have some Secondary Education, very good grades, or had to be personally recommended by their priests, churches, or schools as credible.

So the 'divide and rule' to manage mentality was still being promoted in the region, even though the British was gone. The new educational elite, like those Guyanese and Trinidadian children who studied abroad, were given the top or better jobs in the region. Thus making them an elite unto themselves in the region. By virtue of their foreign exposure personally, they were thought to have more intelligence, know-how, and ability to manege. Young politicians were groomed from this corps of foreign educated elite. Thus setting the stage for the new political leadership in the region.

Because of the British policies in the region of 'Divide & Rule' in this region, the seeds of partition, racial or ethnic segregation, and sometimes partition begun. The local politicians used their unique and personal ethnicity, to lure or persuade their intended supporters to vote or support them in their quest for leadership in government, and governing this region. Thus began the history of the local Trade Union Leadership, and Political Leadership coming to the fore from these areas.

And finally culminating in the ethnic divide in appropriation of funding, services, economic growth and development, and political representation in the entire region of the Caribbean and the Americas.

How Can We Move Forward Economically?

It is my view that we will always have this ethnic suspicion and divide in the region, because of our history, and local political behaviors. It is also my view that the old timers will never be able to make that change in mentality, that is healthy for true unity, in diversity, that is needed to move forward. It is also my belief that foreign investment MUST be encouraged in the region. It is our only hope for growth. But when foreign investors come in, they must be advised to invest in all of these ethnic regions.

Some form or economic equity must be implemented, so that no group may feel dis-regarded, shut out, under-developed, or ignored. And all foreign investors must understand that employing all ethnic groups is a MUST, in order to maintain balance, ethnic diversity and economic opportunity for all in the region.

Who Will benefit From This Venture?

The people who will benefit primarily are the descendants of Trinidadians, Barbadians, and Guyanese. Yes, the children of those who left the region several years ago, to take up residence in the USA, Canada, the UK and else where. Their offspring, and those offspring who are willing to visit the region, settle there, invest there, and encourage others to do the same too.
That to my mind will be the beginning of REAL economic, social, and political changes in the region.

Time To Admit That You Like Men Or Women Sexually-Or Don't Ever Go Into The US Military!

It seems like many Gay or Homosexual men and women still don't get it, when it comes to Self-identification or Admitting that they are sexually attracted to the same gender. And they enlist in the military, only to wake up one morning and find some buddy or sister, scrutinizing them for watching them a certain way, or for seemingly getting a 'Boner' when in the shower, or in the Billet or Barrack room

So many Gay or Homosexual men and women find themselves trapped, and cannot get out the US military, because they fooled themselves about their true sexual orientation and desires. When fellow buddies are asked what they did during 'Liberty,' they cannot say anything believable. Some or most do not socialize with fellow comrades during off times or Liberty, because questions are asked (especially among the men), about one's conquests, drinking bouts,or fraternizing with fellow female inmates, or at the local Pub.

So those who choose to lie about their sexcapades, discovers soon afterwards that enquiries were made by their buddies from the women they alleged to have had sex or romped with. Only to be told the negative. Then they are pressed to explain themselves convincingly, without stuttering.

*Most cannot do so.

* Most are not believable.

*And this leads to suspicion, rumor spreading, taunting, and excessive prying into their social behavior.

That is how they are found out mostly by fellow comrades. Some take pride in outing his or her suspicious barrack buddy, roommate, or platoon buddy.

Conclusion:
Now why would anyone want to experience this kind of humiliation, embarrassment, and possibly dis-honorable discharge from the military if found to be Gay? Only FOOLS make those decisions! Or is it misguided patriotism that cause most Gay or closeted Homosexuals to enlist in the US military?

Whatever it is, I strongly advise that Homos and closeted Homos, should think very seriously before taking that step towards enlistment. Because once you are able to get in UNDETECTED, you and you guilt, and conscience, have to deal with that reality on a daily basis. And that trauma is never healthy for anyone, much less an enlisted man or women in a military that does not approve or desire their service!

I retired from the USN in year 2000 after 23 years of service.And I was gay from day one, served on ships and military hospitals. It's all about being smart, and keeping your business to yourself. Although, there are liers and cheats who suspected me and others were gay, and believe it or not, they lied about you to authorities in an attempt to expose you. Ya just gotta stand your ground and your sexuality, and your business.

While stationed on the USS AMERICA (CV-66) in 1983, the NIS (Naval Investigative Service) question crew members about suspected gays, and several times throughout my 3 year ship tour we were waken up without warning at ungodly hours (3AM), handcuffed, walked from your sleeping quarters through the passageway to the rear of the ship, embarrassed while being pushed pass other crew members.

The NIS would question us for hours, kinda like a Dick Tracy scene in the dark with a bright light in your face exactly like that. Unfortunately, many broke down and admitted their homosexuality. Me having been the strong one at 23 yrs old, many cried on my shoulders, one committed suicide and died.

Such NIS interrogation techniques are now illegal, and were actually illegal then. Therefore, joining the military can be an okay thing if you desire. I would have retired after 30 years vice 23 years, but I acquired diabetes and retired early, and at an E-9 rank. The military will screw you if you let them, and I am sensitive to this type of subject matter. At the end of every month Uncle Sam sends me that good 'ole retirement check (18K/yr), and I thank him from the bottom of my bank account. And for all of those haters of Gays for no good reason, Fuck you, I did my time, and you couldn't do it if you tried.

Unfair Labor Practices At Dunkin Donut!

Exploitation Of Labor At A Dunkin Donut Outlet:

Attention:

It was brought to my attention recently that workers of The Dunkin Donut Outlet, situated at Christopher St. & 7th Avenue, Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York City, are being deprived of their TIPS in that outlet.
Upon enquiry into this mater, I was told by several workers or employees of that facility, that the daily TIPS received from customers, are collected by the Supervisor on duty every day, kept until the end of the work week, then distributed to the workers un-equally.

And very often, the workers are not given their TIPS at all!
These monies are then distributed to those who may or may not have worked the same hours, or may not have been targeted by the customer/s, who would have identified or given certain employees TIPS, in gratitude for good service to them. It was also told to me that the employees are never allowed to accept TIPS directly from customers. But the TIPS are placed into a container visibly displayed on the counter, for the customer/s to put their TIPS into.

Some workers are given un-equal amounts of TIPS, and does not reflect the historical concept of how TIPS should be dealt with. I understand that in most Restaurants, Take-outs, and other Eateries in New York City, there is a system where employees are given ALL of the TIPS collected on a daily basis.

But at this Dunkin Dunut outlet, the management gives TIPS to those whom it pleases. Thus causing some employees never to get any. And dependant upon if he or she is favoured by the Supervisor on duty at the time.

I shall be most grateful for your enquiry into this "Unfair Labor Practice" at this facility, as soon as possible.
